Hermione was flipping through a book as she sat next to Y/N on the cot. Unlike her, she was laying down, head on the pillow. It had been a few days, and Hermione's cold and blown over. She was back to having her nose dug into books, helping Sofia figure out certain clues. Y/N helped more occasionally, especially when Hermione couldn't get out of bed without feeling tired.
Harry and Ron were sat on the bottom cot of the bunk bed across the tent from them, but no words were really being exchanged as they were looking to a small flame lit in a jar on a small stool. Sofia and Hermione usually casted them in order to make some amount of light be seen during the night.
The boys didn't seem to be paying attention to anything but the flame. They tended to zone in and out a bit. They weren't really tuned into their surroundings, but it wasn't like anything was happening. Sofia was outside, getting at least a bit of fresh air that night as she read through some type of Runes book. Hermione was reading something about a certain symbol in her book. Y/N looked at the pages from here to there, but she didn't really pay much mind unless Hermione showed her something.
The two girls sat quietly, Hermione nudging her every few minutes to make her read some small part of the information she had found. Although, some of the information she had read in her book were things she already knew. Y/N had stayed up late the past few nights when Hermione was sick, slipping out of her cot to help Sofia look through more books.
Sofia was grateful that Y/N helped her when Hermione wasn't able to. As much as she loved Ron and Harry doing their best to aid her in finding clues or information, they weren't exactly the brightest at understanding the intricate details or facts they found. Ron would usually look confused or like he was half asleep, and Harry just sat with a blank expression as he aimlessly nodded.
Y/N and Sofia had gone through multiple books, along with multiple pieces of paper they had found in them. Sofia and Hermione managed to sneak a few books from the house they were in when they visited Godric's Hollow, where they thought they were safe with 'Bathilda'. They took a book about Dumbledore with notes in them, and they took a strange, peculiar looking journal, but there was no signature or indication of who it belonged to.
When they had opened the odd diary, the entries were scribbled messily, almost like the person who had wrote them was in a hurry. All Y/N and Sofia were able to conclude from it was that it was from a Death Eater, they just didn't know which one. On one of the entries was a half written letter to the Dark Lord, talking about showing their loyalty to him.
There wasn't much in it, but something did catch their attention, and it did clear a long time question up for the group. When Sofia and Y/N were seated at the table, a little past nine o'clock at night, Sofia had stopped on an entry of the journal. She thought of it as nothing, but she soon looked a bit shocked as she quickly shoved the book into Y/N's hands, beckoning the group over to read it with them. Y/N just thought it was another letter to the Dark Lord, but when she read it, she realized it was more than that.
