The next few days fly by in a flash. True to his word, Spencer has a busy week doing whatever job he refuses to tell me about. He spends the week mostly in his office so I only see him during meals and when we go to sleep at night.

He also hasn't touched me at all this past week. I assume it's because whenever he comes to bed, I'm already asleep or at least pretending to be. I feel thankful for that, but at the same time I find myself craving human contact.

Regardless, his being distracted with work is a good thing for me because it gives me plenty of time on my own to plot my escape.

I spend the week mapping out my path to salvation, reading up on how to drive a boat and how to navigate through the water. I memorize the different controls and buttons of a boat.

Lastly, I have to find a way to incapacitate Spencer long enough for me to go find help. Luckily I find sleep aids in Spencer's medicine cabinet. I begin by crushing up about ten pills and putting it in a small container. I don't plan to use all of it, but it's better to have more than not enough.

The end of the week eventually comes and it's the morning of the boating excursion. I prepare myself by putting on sunscreen and making sure the sleeping drugs are securely hidden inside my bag. I also stash the map I tore from the book and the manual on boat driving inside the bag as well.

When I get downstairs, Spencer is already up making breakfast.

"Hi baby," he coos, beckoning me closer. I walk over to him, allowing him to embrace me.

"I've missed you this past week. Daddy's been so busy."

"I've missed you too," I fake smile. He cups my cheek to pull me closer and press his soft lips to my forehead.

"Are you ready to go out on the boat today, princess?" he looks down at me, his eyes swelling with joy. I nod in response.

"That's my good girl." He tucks my hair behind my ear.

He steps back to finish cooking breakfast and his eyes scans my body seeing that I'm already dressed and have my bag packed.

"It seems like you're eager to get going, aren't you?"

"Yeah, I guess so," I smile, the picture of freedom making my heart race in anticipation of my plan being carried out.

"Okay then," he chuckles, his dimples popping out of his cheeks, "Let's eat breakfast and then we can get going, alright?"

"Okay."

After breakfast, we head out to the boat. We again climb aboard the medium sized boat with my name printed on the side.

As Spencer steers the boat, I watch his technique. The buttons on this boat are a little different than the ones explained in the manual I found in the library, but I think I'll be able to figure it out.

"Where are we headed, Spence?" I ask, hoping to gage where we are going in relation to where the private islands are.

"Don't worry about it, baby girl. I'll get us somewhere we can relax and have a good time together. Why don't you go on the deck to tan for a bit? I should focus on driving, and you're awfully distracting," he suggests, his eyes scanning the length of my exposed legs. An excited shiver travels down my spine.

I climb down the stairs and decide to set my plan in motion.

The interior of the boat is organized into three rooms: a small bedroom, a bathroom, and the main room. The main room composes of a small dining area, kitchenette, and living space with couches.
