A month since your family gathering had gone by and you're returning again tonight for another. The occasion this time around was quite special. It's your birthday and your family was throwing you a big party, which Michael had a big part in planning.

He's been acting a little off, seemingly a little nervous about something. But he wouldn't tell you why, so you just brushed it off as him being a little nervous about reuniting with your family.

It was a sweet sight though. He was all smiles as he hugged them all, from your aunts and uncles to your parents and your little cousins that have nothing but love for him.

He didn't seem to let go of your hand the entire time, only when he absolutely had to. But as soon as he could, he was bringing your hand back into his shaky one.

But a while later, when you sat at the table with your family surrounding you, you began to tug at the hem of his shirt.

He had yet to give you your birthday present and he could tell you were getting impatient. He understood why you were getting excited. He promised you it would be unforgettable!

But you were unaware of just how unforgettable it would truly be. Impatient and excited, you tugged at the hem of his shirt again.

"Mikey, please?"

He chuckled and nodded his head before clearing his throat to catch everyone's attention. Once all eyes were on the two of you he reached for your hand and took it into his own, where he intertwined your fingers together and gave your hand a squeeze.

"Thank you all for coming out to celebrate the birthday girl. It means a lot to the both of us."

Your family cheered and the ones close to you patted your shoulder softly.

"I wanted to make your birthday really special, y/n. You remember the last time we were here? You introduced me to some of your family as your husband."

Your cheeks heated up as your family chuckled. It was only when Michael hooked his finders under your chin to get you to look up at him that your eyes locked with his bright ones.

"It made me realize just how much I want to hear you say that when we meet new people. I want you to call me your husband... more than anything else in the world, I want you to be my wife."

He got down on one knee and you gasped as he pulled out the ring. You could feel all the eyes on you, but all you could see was Mikey, the love of your life, the man of your dreams, down on one knee to ask you to be his wife.

"I love you with all of my heart, y/n. There's no one else in the world that I want to spend forever with. Will you marry me?"

Through the tears in your eyes, you managed to nod. You didn't trust your voice, knowing that the words most likely wouldn't fall from your lips clearly.

"Yeah?" He chuckled through his own tears as you managed to mumble out 'yes,' and then threw your arms around him to hug him tightly.

You shed a few tears against his neck and he held you close, whispering words of love as he kissed your head and lovingly rubbed your back while your family applauded.

"I love you." He whispered softly in your ear.

"Love you too." You mumbled and pulled away as he tried to take your hand into his. With shaky hands, he held yours with one and used his other to slide the ring on your finger.

"I've never seen anything so beautiful." You smiled through your tears as you laid your forehead on his.

"I have," he whispered. "You. My beautiful girl. I'm so excited to spend the rest of my life with you. I love you so much."

"Love you," you said before kissing him, basking in the coos and the love from your family who were over the moon for the both of you, knowing you'd be spending a happy and loving life together.
