It had been two days since Taehyung's epiphany.

Thankfully, Min Yoongi wasn't irked enough to withhold his daily hugs privileges. Matter of fact, Taehyung noticed how lately his hyung tends to cling tighter. Taehyung already deemed a maximum of two minutes to be the norm but this time Yoongi doesn't grumble or even complain when Taehyung holds on for much longer. Doesn't shoo Taehyung away when he sleepily perches his chin on Yoongi's shoulder, arms circling his waist, as Yoongi begins to cook their breakfast. Nor did he shrug his shoulders when Taehyung continues to latch on as Yoongi transfers the fried rice on a platter.

He's not sure if he's just imagining it but recently Yoongi takes his sweet time dislodging his arms from his hold on Taehyung. As though he doesn't want to let go.

Taehyung isn't one to complain, loving every moment of the embrace. Grateful for every second. Especially with the knowledge that there could be a possibility that these precious moments between them might be put into the back burner once Yoongi begins dating.

It's also possible that the extension of his privileges is Yoongi's way of apologizing with the debacle last time. If not an apology then maybe a conveyance of a ceasefire. They've never really reopened the issue. Taehyung thinks it might be because Yoongi isn't ready to open up about his crush. And that's valid! That was the first time Taehyung ever saw Yoongi acting all jealous. Harboring such strong feelings for someone. And even though he really wants to bond over gushing over boys, something he regularly does with Jimin, he knows Yoongi isn't really one to partake in that activity.

Min Yoongi is much more reserved. Secretive.

The type to pine after someone for years without speaking a word about his feelings. Taehyung knows that much. His hyung loves in silent ways, never asking for anything in return. Prefers to let his care show through tangible but covertly executed actions. It's rare to see him outwardly appear ruffled and affected especially when it comes to the matters of the heart, always the dependable and composed pillar of a 'hyung'. Yesterday, Taehyung was lucky enough to see his cool headed hyung (possibly unconsciously) peel off some of that composure.

Unsurprisingly, it occurred when the plush toys were about to be returned back to Seokjin.

Kim Seokjin: their neighbor with the broad shoulders, impossibly proportional facial features, possessing a penchant for stuffed toys, and the person Kim Taehyung wagers had managed to capture Min Yoongi's affections.

Taehyung noticed that Yoongi had been very attentive to the state of the stuffed toys. Checking every waking hour or so if they're dry already. Almost to the point of impatience. The moment he had deemed it appropriately free from moisture, he grabbed the two plush toys and placed them in one of their fancier paper bags. Seemingly out to impress. Taehyung inwardly gave him a thumbs up.

"I'll be out for a bit," Yoongi said, already at the doorway fixing his shoes.

Taehyung noted how his hyung hurried along, must've been very excited to meet Seokjin. Taehyung smiled wistfully, so proud that his hyung is finally unfurling his gay little wings, blurting out a "OK! Praying for success!"

To which Yoongi only gave him a blank stare, a tilt of his head, and a "Prelims doesn't start until tomorrow though??" before setting out.

Taehyung cooed over how his hyung desperately tried to conceal his excitement over him and Seokjin's meeting. How he tried to act unaware of what Taehyung meant with his comment. His hyung is just so precious. Precisely like a little kitten, so innocent but still with a hint of cunning. He would've spied on Yoongi if only he didn't know that it could possibly upset his hyung, knowing his disposition regarding his privacy and it being invaded. He just has to trust his hyung's flirting game and pray it'll all work out.
