ETA 4/18/22: WOW! I can't believe how much love this has gotten over the past year, and I'm so, so grateful! If you're just starting, I would like to warn you that the beginning of this story is very rough. Like, cringe-worthy rough. I hadn't written anything in over ten years and it is blatantly obvious. I had planned on going back and redoing the first thirty or so chapters, but I think I've decided to leave them because it shows me how incredibly far I've come in my writing when I'm being too hard on myself. I hope it doesn't deter you, I promise it does get better if you hold on! Thanks for reading!

OP 3/18/2021: Hi guys! So this is the first time I've ever written on wattpad and I'm still figuring it out. I've been reading y'all's stories for a couple years and y'all inspired me. To be honest, I haven't written fan fiction since I was like 14 and wrote about My Chemical Romance quite a while ago, but my wife says I need a hobby so here I am. 🤷🏼‍♀️

I don't really expect anyone to read this, but if for some reason you ended up here I'd love to hear what you think. 😊

I'm not the best at timelines and such, and some of this will obviously not be correct for the 80s, but who gives a shit?
