The air seemed to shift around us and I felt a chill rise up from my spine. "What do you mean by what do we do, we fight back. We dig out who ever is behind all of these, and we finish em, for good" says Ryan, determination and fiery sparkling in his large black eyes. A flicker of hope, like a small flame in the darkness burned deep in the back of my mind. But I couldn't really get rid of the fear, which managed to settle deep in my bones.

"You never told me why you came to visit me" I ask him as his eyebrows shot us and his expressions read horror. "Oh my God, I totally forgot about it. So this morning, someone sent a package to my place as well. A package with no address, with no number in it and no details from the sender. I thought my friends were pranking me or something so I didn't open it. And then I saw a trace of blood dripping from it. And I knew, where I had to go now" he says all of that in one breath, knocking my breaths away.

I gulped, the tension so thick in the air that you could almost cut it with a knife. My eyes starred to quickly scan towards the bag he brought in my house and the sight nearly choked me. An eerie looking bag sat peacefully on the glass table, beside my mug, giving no traces of the evil which lurked inside of it. My eyes got wider but I tried to give no reaction to it, but it still managed to screw with my mind even more.

"Open it" I say as Ryan looked straight at me, and I could literally feel the fear radiating from him though his deep stare at me.

"What if there.." "Fine, im doing it" I say, cutting him off and before he could even stop me, I grab the bag and tear it's cover off to find another mysterious box in it. The same box which had that severed finger in it. My eyes started to burn at the mere sight of it and I couldn't help but live through that scary moment once again.

"What do you think, there is?" asked Ryan. I sneaked a glance towards Veronica and now she was hunched over the table top and giggling while talking to someone on the phone. I blinked back my tears and showed bravery so that I don't falter in front of Ryan. I have committed heinous mistakes in my past but I did those things because they deserved it, because they wished for it and because they had it coming for fucking with me.

I cleared my throat and opened the box. The latch on the box opened with a small shriek which felt louder than my frantic heart beats and I couldn't help but let my body escape a little shudder. Opening the box, there was a handkerchief. A handkerchief with red blood stains all over it.

Oh my God

Ryan let out a gasp as I picked it up with the tip of my nails. There was no smell, given the handkerchief was from years ago, and me and Ryan, we both knew what this handkerchief meant and where it could possibly come from.

"There's something else in there as well" says Ryan as my gaze dropped on the box, in which sat a dainty looking piece of note. Ryan picked it up, slower than the time which was passing right now. I saw the shiver in his hands as he cleared his throat. There was a loud crash in the kitchen which made me almost drop the note and my gaze shot towards the kitchen.

Veronica dropped a bottle filled with water from the fridge as she struggled to keep one ear glued to her mobile phone, pushing her left shoulder up. I huffed and looked at Ryan. "Make it quick, I don't want to involve Veronica in any of these" I say as he nodded vigorously and opened the note.

In italics, written there was an address of a place, with no numbers in it. We looked at each other. Confusion and dread clear on our desperate faces.

"Who's address could this be?" asked Ryan as I shrugged my shoulders. "Whoever it is, we need it to do this some other day, Veronica's home today" I replied as he quickly started to marshall the things in the saggy looking bag.

"Understandable, how about you get some rest and we visit there tomorrow?" says Ryan.

"Tomorrow seems too far away, I cant wait that long, Ryan. Whoever this is, knows who we are, knows about our past and has the guts enough to try and threaten us. We can't underestimate this individual" I reply as he nods in understanding everything I said.

The lights turn off in the kitchen as Veronica comes towards us. "What's up, you all?" She says being all chirpy. "You cooked all that, to just leave it in the kitchen?" asks Ryan as she smirks at him. "Awwh, you are not getting any of it anyways, a friend of mine is coming over and these are all for him" she says, crimson staining her cheeks.

I gulp, trying to breathe a little. "You guys carry on, ill be right back" I say excusing myself as they both sit on the couch and start bantering amongst themselves. It's pretty appreciable how Ryan is behaving like nothing happened at all and as if we didn't just have any panic attacks literally five minutes ago.

I step into my room and lock my door and slid down on the floor. The room seemed awfully quiet today, and there no birds or anything chirping out there. I looked towards my balcony to see how the sun was about to set. I closed my eyes and leaned back on the door.

A silky smile, with dimples dug in soft cheeks, with dreamy eyes flashed through my mind and the darkness which was spread throughout my eyelids begin to lighten up. A smile slipped from my mouth as my hand grabbed the phone from the nightstand. I switched on my phone to find three texts from Daisy, and fifteen missed calls from Eran. I sighed once more and called him back. Talking with him seems like he's the closest vicinity to peace I'll ever get to, right now.

"Hello?" his sultry voice came through picking the call on the second ring, and I closed my eyes, feeling the fear, all the adrenaline escaping, gradually.
