Harley could slowly begin the see her surroundings again, noticing how what felt like seconds, she was from wakanda to the avengers compound.

"Mama!" She heard summer say, turning her head to see she was sat on steves lap, Nat sitting next to him.

Harley frowned when she saw summer. Not because she didn't want to see her, but because she knew that she would have to talk to her about Bucky.

But, Harley put a strong face and smiled at summer. "Hey baby girl."
She said with a smile, putting her arms out for summer to come hug her.

Summer giggled and was very gentle when she hugged her mother, sensing that she was weaker right now.

Nat looked at the two hugging and stood up. "Come on hun, let your mama rest for a little bit. I bought you some coloring books we can check out." She said, summers eyes glowing as she followed nat out of the room.

Harley let her face fall again when she turned to look at Steve. "So that all did happen in wakanda and it wasn't a nightmare?" She asked.

Steve gave her a small nod, which shattered Harley's heart. "Why is it always me. I always have the fucked up situations. Not once has anything ever gone right for me."

"Har stop it. You and Bucky have raised a beautiful baby girl, even though she's only three right now. And we will get Bucky back, I don't know when, but we will." Steve said, sitting up in his seat.

Harley nodded. "Does she know?" She asked in almost a whisper, but what's was actually just from how weak she felt.

Steve shook his head no. "I couldn't. That's your job, your her mother."

"Oh Harley, your awake. Good." Bruce said, walking into the room and checking the machines. "Sam was right, that kids a wild child. She Only listened to Steve."

Harley laughed a little bit. "Was she at least got while I was out..?"

Steve laughed a little too. "Well, it was only a day, but let's just say me, Nat, and her sat in here watching paw patrol all night."

Summer was obsessed with the cartoons, paw patrol being one of her favorites because of the dogs. "So you've been awake the whole time?"
She asked.

Steve didn't answer since he knew what Harley would say.

But, she said it anyways.

"Steven Grant Rogers get your ass to your room and go get some sleep." She said, now noticing the bags Steve had h see his eyes.

He shook his head. "Not yet, i know Bucky would kill me if I didn't sit here with you when he couldn't."

Harley didn't have the energy to argue, so she just let him stay.

After about another day, Bruce finally let Harley out of the med bay since she had gotten stitches over her wound.

Even though she was in the process of physically healing, she hasn't been able to stop crying since she woke up. For her, last night was the first night she wasn't being held in Bucky's arms and cuddled together with him. It made her feel almost, sick.

But she had to stay strong. The little bit of hope inside her kept her going. The little hope that she would get her Bucky back.

"Hi mama!" Summer said when Harley went into the living room to distract herself. She was able to leave the med bay about an hour ago, but she just needed to cry.

Harley didn't want her daughter to think she was weaker, so she put a small smile on and lifted her up. "Hey princess. We're you good to everyone?" Harley said in a soft voice, trying not to completely fall apart.

Summer giggled. "I was good! Auntie Nat got me a coloring book!" She said, pointing to the zoo themed coloring book that was opened on the table.

"Well look at you my little artist." Harley said, looking down at summers coloring and seeing the very odd color choices she made for the wolf. "I've always wanted a pink and green wolf." She said, summers small laughs helped her feel better.

"Mama are you ok?" She asked. "And where did daddy go?"

The room went silent. They all looked at Harley to see how she was going to handle this. Tears began to form in her eyes as she set Summer down and knelt in front of her.

Harley took a deep breath and shook her head. "Well, daddy is on a um..
A top secret mission to help Uncle Tony and Petey on their mission."

Steve glance over to Harley, seeing her lip beginning to quiver as tears gently dropped down her face. "It's going to be ok princess, I promise." Harley said to Summer, giving her a tight hug.

"Well when is daddy coming home?" She asked.

Harley shook her head. "I don't know hun. It might be a while."

Steve looked over to the mother daughter duo and then to the time. "You guys wanna stay here tonight?
Or nat and I can drive you home?" He asked, knowing Harley wasn't exact stable enough to deal with this on her own yet.

"Mama can we stay!" Summer begged. "Just for tonight! Please!"

Harley nodded. "As long as you behave."

Harley smiled a little bit at her daughters joy. It was nice to know she was comfortable around the compound, and that everyone seemed to like her enough to deal with her for another night.

Well, everyone seemed to be fine with her. Especially Thor and Rocket. "So, what shall we do now My mini Midgard?" Thor asked.

"You know, I usually don't like kids but this one is a little psycho and I like that. Although she keeps calling me a rabbit because of Thor." Rocket said, having a very short temper.

Summer giggled and looked to Harley. "Mama can we get one of these!"

"Let's start off with a puppy first." Harley said, laughing a little bit as Thor lifted summer up in the air and began to run around.

Steve sighed and watched the man run. "If you hurt the kid your dead!" He called out.

"Wow Steve, you sound like how Tony is with Peter." Nat said with a small laugh, nudging his arm.

"Well that is my goddaughter so.." he said with a smirk.

"And that's my little psycho."
