Chapter 5 – Lets Party!

The party. For some reason I felt like going wasn’t the best idea, something was up and Hazel wanted me there for it…

It was now after school and I was waiting for Sammy outside of her house, she said that we could get ready together so I invited her to my house meaning that she had to find and outfit. She opened her window and popped her head out, “I can’t find anything to wear!” she yelled down to me pouting slightly

“Hang on I’ll be up in a second” I replied walking towards the front door, I knocked once and popped my head in

“Who is it? Is that you Jacey?” Jaz called from the study

“Hey Jaz, yeah it’s me Jacey.” I replied stepping into the house and closing the door behind me

“Oh hello darling, you can head up to Sammy’s room, I can hear her yelling from here!” she called back

I laughed and headed up the stairs, sobering up I reached Sammy’s room. I was just about to knock when she pulled the door open. “Jace you gotta help me! I have nothing to wear!” she said pouting

I couldn’t help but laugh, this girl was seriously funny sometimes. I raised my hand to my forehead and replied “Oh my word, whatever shall we do?”

She rolled her eyes and grinned, Cheshire cat style. “Yeah, yeah miss theatrics. Come on you have to help me” she replied giving me puppy dog eyes

How could I say no to that? I smiled “Hey Sammy, turn around for a sec”

She gave me a kind of ‘huh’ looked and I gestured for her to turn around, she simply shrugged and turned around. I looked at the tag on her school uniform shirt, 8. Same size as me... I grinned “Sammy relax, you’re the same size as me” I paused grabbing her hand and started to pull her towards the door, “You can borrow something of mine” at this she turned around and stared at me

“You sure?” she asked

“Of course, come on let go get ready!” I chirped, I was still I little worried about the party but I decided that it was probably nothing, however I still had me suspicions…

As we arrived at the front door Sammy disappeared to tell her mum the plan for the night, a couple of minutes later she emerged from the study grinning crazily, her mum had obviously said yes.

With the quick walk to my house, I unlocked the front door and Sammy followed me in. Mum wasn’t home yet, but I could leave her a note when we left. I turned to look at Sammy; she smiled looking around the house.

“You have really nice house” she commented

Then it clicked, I’d been going to the new school for about a week now and I already had a best friend! Score for me! I mentally did a happy dance. And in that time Sammy hadn’t been inside my house, it was always hers.

“Thanks” I replied smiling at her “Okay come on let’s get ready!” I said dragging her to the stairs

I gave her a little tour on the way, the bathroom, kitchen, other bedrooms and then finally mine. I liked my new room, it was different to my old one but I still liked it.

“I like you room, it’s really big!”

“Thanks, okay come on now we need to find something for us to wear” I said tapping my finger against my chin “Oh I have the perfect dress for you!” I said remembering a purple dress I bought a while back, I’d never worn it, and I guess I never had a reason to. The dress was a white at the top and it kind of blended into a purple at the bottom. I walked over to my walk-in-robe and started searching. “Ha-ha!” I yelled triumphantly “Here Sammy try this on” I said holding it out for her
