Namaari's P.O.V
Once we arrived it looked more like a party than dinner. I guess we'll eat later. My mother slapped my hand as I tried to scratch my back again. -"Namaari, stop it. Act like a lady." She said. -"A lady? Yeah, I'll pass." I replied, kind of boldly. I'm trying but this damn suit is so umcomfortable. -"I mean it. This is important. Some of the other clans still doesn't fully trust us because what we did to Sisu." She explained. -"I already apologized for that." I said. -"I'm not blaming you. I gave the order. So I'll take responsability." -"Okay. And what am I suppose to do?" I asked. -"Go and have fun my dear and.....try to behave like a princess." She said, I rolled my eyes and walked off. I walked to the liquor section and poured myself a bit of Dragon's wrath. That's one of my favourites drinks, and the strongest. How is anybody doing this sober?
And that's when I saw her. Raya. She had the most beautiful dress I've ever seen. Combined with her features it was stunning. I almost chocked with my drink. Damn. Meanwhile Raya walked to me. -"You know, staring is kinda rude." She said casually. -"You wish I was." I replied blushing a little for getting cought. -"Uh huh." She took the drink from my hand and drank it. -"Hey!" I couldn't help but smile. Why would I smile at that? -"You're not suppose to drink anyway. It's not 'Lady like'." She airquoted my mother. I guess she heard us. -"Well, I never was one for formalities. Want another?" I said but already poured another glass. -"Yes. You have a good taste by the way." She said and took the drink. -"Thanks. May we both live through this." I made a toast. -"By the dragons, I can't wait to get out of this dress." She chuckled.
-"I think that the dress looks really good on you." I said and sipped a bit from my drink. -"Oh, thank you Princess Namaari. Aren't you a charmer?" She chuckled. -"Shut up. I mean it." I smiled back. -"Then I also think you look very stunning in that suit." She said the most exaggerated royal way she could. -"May I ask your royal ass to acompany me to the dance floor then?" I offered her my hand. -"Um, I-I don't think that's a good idea......I...can't dance." She admited embarassed. -"Good, then I can teach you." I insisted. -"I don't know Namaari. There's a lot of people here." She crossed her arms. -"Then...... how about we go somewhere with less people." I smiled. -"You really want my company Dep la." She chuckled. -"If you don't want to it's fine." I started to put my hand down but that's when she took it. -"No, it's fine. Let's go." We walked away from the party, but she didn't let go of my hand.
She led me to the dragon gem. Although the room was still broken from the Druun attack, it's a great place to be alone. We all decided that this is where the gem should stay. After Hearth explained to us that it doesn't give them prosperity. I walked behind her. -"What? Why here?" I asked. -"No one goes here. Except me and my Ba. So no one should bother." She said. -"Thank you for showing me, you've been very helpful." I said. In that moment she quickly turned around in her battle stance, ready to defend the dragon gem. While I was dying of laughter. -"You should- Hahaha. You should see yourself. Haha." I kept on laughing. -"Not funny Namaari, I though you wanted to......Ugh." She said angrily at the beggining but I could hear it amused her. -"Okay, Okay. Sorry to scare you then." I chuckled trying to stop my laugh. Putting my arms up in surrender.
We sit down at the inner circle. After we showed respect for the gem by the dragon salute. -"To be honest. I actually though it looked badass when you backed away and the Fang soldiers rolled in. It looked pretty cool." She chuckled. -"Really? Well I thought you looked brave when you and your dad stood all alone against four clans." I said looking at the sky. -"But I don't know how I can ever apologize for what I did. Druun attacked because of me." I let my head down. -"Hey, don't say that. Nobody's blaming you for that. If you didn't do it, others would. It's in the past now." She rubbed my back. -"Yeah but still." -"No. Stop thinking like that." She made me look at her by gently grabbing my chin. -"If somehow we got back in time. I wouldn't want the history to be any different. Because then who knows if we would became friends." I let myself get carried away by her touch. It's just so soft and full of care.
-"All this serious talk. Didn't we come here to teach you how to dance?" I stood up and offered her a hand. She accepted it. -"Damn, I kinda hoped you forgot." She chuckled. I made sure there's enough space around us and started teaching her. -"Place you left hand on my shoulder, like this. And give me your right hand." I instructed. She did it and I placed my hand at her waist. She jumped a little. -"Is it okay?" I asked. -"Y-Yeah, sure just didn't expect that." She stuttered. -"Okay, the steps are easy. Just let me lead you." I said and she nodded. We started doing the steps slowly but she didn't match mine. -"Hey, try counting. One, two, three. One, two, three. See? It's all about the rythm." I counted for a while and then started humming a song to which we danced.
Raya's P.O.V
I never noticed how pretty her voice is. And calming too. What is she doing to me? I tried looking at my feet to match Namaari's, but suddenly she made me look at her, like I did few moments ago. -"Don't look at your feet, look at me and let me lead you. You trust me, right?" She smiled. -"Well, I don't want to mess up." I replied. -"You won't." She reassured me. And so we continued on dancing, this time looking at each other. The moon was shining at the horizon. I couldn't help the urge and got closer to her, in a hug like position I rested my head at her shoulder and she did the same. We danced so close there was no space between us. Much slower now. Namaari was still humming a beautiful song.
Maybe it was the drinks but suddenly I pulled away to look her in the eyes. -"What?" She asked quietly. I didn't say anything just placed my hand at her cheek and started going closer to her. But she didn't pull away. I could fell her hands tracing up my body. I closed my eyes as I felt her breath on my face. And suddenly a few drops of water hit my face. We both stopped and looked above us. It was raining. I again faced Namaari, she was also looking at me. -"I....um. You're a good teacher." I smiled. -"And you're a great company." She blushed and stepped away.
-"Raya! Namaari! How are you?" We heard a familiar voice yell from above. It was Sisu, flying with her siblings towards the Hearth temple, but only she stopped at us. -"Sisu! So glad to see you!" I went to hug her. -"You too girl. It's been a while!" She hugged me back. -"Hey, Sisu." Namaari waved at her. -"Heya Namaari! What are you two doing here all by yourselfs? The party's down there!.....Oh wait, is this a date? Did I interupt?" She stopped suddenly. -"No!" We yelled at the same time. -"We were just......let's go to the party. I'm sure others are wandering where we are." I said. -"Yeah, good idea." Namaari agreed.
As we walked down the hill to the party, Sisu told us about how Pengu swallowed a fly the other day. She was laughing hard about that, it's nice to spend time with her again. I had no idea dragons wanted to attend this party. We're going to have dinner soon. I hope it turnes out well.
-"Raya! There you are! I've been looking everywhere for you." My father said once we arrived at the temple. -"Namaari, it's not nice to keep everyone waiting." Namaari's mother also joined the conversation. -"I'm sorry mother." Namaari apologized. -"Yeah. Sorry Bo." I apologized too. -"It's okay. And by the way. Pengu said, they're quite hungry. How about we start the dinner?" My father asked. -"You're the boss, cheif Benja." I said playfully. -"Then I say we shall go eat. How about you cheif Virana?" Dad asked towards Namaari's mother. -"We're ready. And please, just Virana." She replied. -"Then it's just Benja for you aswell." They exchanged nods. While me and Namaari exchanged smiles. Let's get this dinner over with.
