(Y/N)'s POV

I walk throughout the airship and look out the window as Korra plays fetch with Naga. I take a deep breath knowing I've been worried ever since we went our separate ways from Tenzin. Zaheer, my own father, is chasing her and she doesn't even seem phased by it. It has to be an act, I know Korra, she's probably scared out of her mind. I see her talk to Lin and I go look for Liane given the fact I couldn't help but notice her and Asami getting closer after we fought off those barbarians for the Earth Queen's taxes. I finally get to her room and knock but as soon as I do I hear shuffling and whispers. The door finally opens and I see Asami leaving her face redder than a tomato and some blueprints in her hands. "Heyyy (Y/N)." Liane casually says as if I didn't interrupt a moment between them. I "Spill, now." I say and close the door. She explains everything. So apparently 10 minutes ago Asami came in proposing an idea but she didn't know if I would be down for it so she went to Liane for advice, as they were looking at the blueprints side by side there was a lot of tension then out of nowhere Asami just kissed her then I knocked on the door. I chuckle at the information. "Well that explains Asami's red face." I say amused. The gang comes back in and says we have two new airbenders in the city of Zafou and from the looks of it Lin doesn't look really happy about our destination. Maybe it's because she wants Korra safe in Republic City but to be honest if I was my father that's the first place I would go.

Later we arrive in the metal city and Lin is more cranky than usual. Korra seemed more eager to meet the airbenders since I was going to help teach them before we head back to Republic City. We met Suyin who I know as Lin's sister but the others don't. Su later came back to the airship to see Lin but it's clear they must've had some kind of falling out 30 years ago. That's a long time away from family. "Look, we can stand here arguing about the past all day, but that's not what the Avatar came here for. My daughter and son are thrilled to meet you." Su says and Korra tells Lin that her niece and nephew are the new airbenders. As we move to meet Suyin's family. We walked up to Opal who was reading a book while Jasper, Opal's twin brother was in another building singing beautifully. I couldn't help but notice how Bolin was in awe and adoration with the two siblings but more intrigued with Jasper's talent of music and singing. Lin was in a rush for us to go but Su offered us to stay as we taught Opal and Jasper some basic airbending movements. The sun was coming down and Korra was busy teaching Opal while I was teaching Jasper. Jasper was Opal's twin so they looked very similar. "I've heard about your part in Harmonic Convergence. You really care about the Avatar, don't you?" Jasper says as we circle around practicing some basic stances. "You can say that. My connection though goes deeper than our relationship. It's very spiritual being an airbender comes with that. Heck it even comes with the goal to be as wise as you can, at least from my perspective." I tell him. "You're brutally honest, I like that. Do you like music?" He asks and I nod. "I like all forms of art but I feel like bending can be an art of many things." I said. I look at Korra and Opal learning well together; they already seem close, I guess. Dinner was ready and I was sitting next to Korra and heard Bolin telling Opal and Jasper about his life in Republic City, but dinner quickly goes south as an argument sparks between Su and Lin. Later Varrick pops in and at this point it's chaos and I just silently eat dinner. Korra slips her hand under the table and holds mine. "It's gonna be fine, we'll be done here before you know it." She whispers in my ear. If only I could believe you Korra.
