TWs; mentions of infidelity/cheating spouse, minor violence, sexual situations, dub-con, smut.

You stared, dumbfounded, at the sight of Kylo's wife...ex-wife...soon to be ex-wife...whoever she was, standing on your porch. Still watching you with that same false, poisonous smile. You couldn't quite make sense of it. Seeing her in person, for one. But seeing her in your world. She didn't exist in your world. Not even before. Trying to reconcile someone who was essentially an idea with your every day life was as baffling as it was unsettling.

She wasn't just anyone; she was the implosion of your world waiting to happen.

Okay, maybe that was a little dramatic. If anyone held that title, it was surely Kylo. But given he had already forced his way - literally - back into your life, Rey was the cherry on top of a cake you wished had never made it out of the oven. Though at least now you knew for sure she not only knew of Kylo's infidelity...she knew about you in particular.

You'd never been more relieved that Violet wasn't with you. You weren't sure if she had any idea your daughter existed, but even if she did the last thing you wanted was the two of them in a room together. You were desperately hoping that the former was true and she'd never even so much as suspected. Bearing that thought in mind, you made no effort to open the door. There would be no chance of covering up her existence in there. You knew it was unlikely she would be ignorant for long...but that wasn't a conversation you wanted to have with her.

Stepping up on to the porch you leaned against the railing, crossing your arms loosely over your chest. Feeling hilariously underdressed next to her sleekness. "I can't say I haven't thought about this moment before, though I wouldn't have complained about it not being on my porch." Maybe it was insensitive, you did genuine feel bad, you always had, but at the same time Kylo hadn't been shy in admitting their marriage was a scam. And you didn't appreciate anyone marching on to your property to hurl accusations when your kid could have been there. Your protective instincts would always vastly outweigh sense of moral obligation to a stranger.

If that made you a whore than so be it.

"I wouldn't have complained about you staying away from my husband, so I suppose we're even." She said icily, that petulant smile she'd been sporting slipping into something far less friendly. She nodded her head towards the door before eyeing your hand, still clutching your keys. "Aren't you going to invite me inside?"

"Nope." You almost smiled at how much you sounded like Violet, but given the circumstances you reigned it in. This wasn't really the kind of 'ha ha' moment that might have allowed for an errant smile or two. In fact you were pretty sure judging by the irritation in her expression she was likely to tackle you over the side of the railing if you showed the slightest amusement. Granted you weren't laughing at her - it was, you were sure, a side effect of nerves - but you couldn't have blamed her for seeing it that way. "Look, whatever you came here to say, just say it."

The sooner the better so that the moment she was gone you could call Kylo and get him to come sort out his own domestic train wreck. Rey was his spouse, not yours. Though you'd seen the article about the divorce...you knew she wasn't really his anymore, either. In fact, you suspected this little visit was just the product of some very sour grapes.

Clearly feeling robbed of her moment, her expression only continued to darken. She crossed her own arms, the handle of her bag caught awkwardly under her arm. "How kind of you to give me permission to confront the scheming bitch who ruined my marriage." Apparently the lack of an invitation had been enough to convince her playing nice wasn't the way to go anymore.
