You deleted all your socials, from twitter to Facebook and
you made your Instagram private so just your friends could
see your posts and of course, you unfollowed Corey.

You
were upset to what you had to come, but you knew there
was no other option to let him go and forget about him.

Next morning you drove to the hospital to visit your best
friend. As you were waiting for him to get back in his room
since he was having a visit from the doctor, you walked to
the cafeteria and got yourself a coffee and sat at the
table.

You noticed a few magazines and you started looking at
them, like it was a curse you couldn’t escape you saw an
article about Corey.

“New girl in the American TikTok star’s life?” was the title and
next to it were pictures you already saw of Corey and
Cat. You closed the magazine and threw it away from
you then walked back to your friend’s room.

“Hey” you said, as he was finally alone in his bed.

“Morning Nella” he smiled and you sat next to him on the
chair.

“Everything okay? I saw the doctor was here”

“Yeah, I’ll be getting out in two days probably.”

“That’s great.” You smiled, but he could see you were not
okay; you were bad at hiding your feelings.

“He called you back?” He asked like he knew Corey was
the reason for your sadness.

“No, he is too busy having fun with Cat” you barely said
as you felt tears falling down your face and you couldn’t
stop it.

“Oh Nelly, I’m sorry. Come here.” He said and you laid next
to him on the bed and he hugged you so you could put it
all out and calm down.

After some time you had to leave, because visiting hours
were over. You thanked him and greeted him, because you
had to go back to California the next morning and you could
not see him anymore.

While you were packing, you looked at your phone. Deep
down inside you still had hope that Corey would call you
or text you. You knew he cheated on you, but you wanted
to talk with him and make thing better, but clearly, he
didn’t think the same way.

You didn’t say anything to your parents, because you knew
they would immediately freak out and your mother would
be concerned and call you every two minutes to see if you
are okay. You pretended that everything was okay and they
didn’t know anything, because they were not on socials and
were not interested in celebrity news.

You had a nice dinner with your family and then went to
sleep early, because you had your flight in the morning. You
knew that Corey was coming from England a day later so
you had time to go to his place and take you stuff when he
was not AT HOME
.
When you were back in Cali and walked at the airport
to get to your car you noticed some people recognized you
from all the stuff that was going around about the love
triangle you were part of.

“Hey!” you heard a young girl behind you, she was holding
her phone, “can I take a picture with you Nella?” she asked
kindly so you agreed and took a selfie with her.

“Is it true you and Corey broke up?” she asked before you
had time to leave.

You looked at her surprised and didn’t know what was the
right thing to say. You knew what the truth was, but
Corey didn’t confirm anything yet, even though his
pictures with Cat were kind of a confirmation he moved
on.

“Um, yes we did.” You forced a smile, not to show how
much that was hurting you.

“Oh no, we fans really liked you. Everyone will be
devastate.” She said and made a sad face.
