I snuggled deeper into my bed, but my body was met with something warm? My eyes snapped open and I saw a man, lying beside me.
What the fuck is a man doing in my room?
I tried to remember yesterday's event until it all came back. I went clubbing with my friends, got very drunk and followed a guy home and had sex. That was one thing with me. I never forget my drunken escapades. It's like my brain shows me how stupid I was.
At least we remembered to use a condom
I rolled out of the bed and began to dress up. Picking up my clothes from where they were littered all over the room.
We had a wild night.
When I was fully dressed, wearing my jean jacket over my revealing top, the man began to stir. He reached out to the other side of the bed, and when he didn't see me, he shot up and when he saw me looking at him, he gave me a lazy smile
"You're up" his eyes trailed my body and he frowned "you're leaving?"
"Obviously" I deadpanned "What's your address so I can call a cab"
"How about I make you breakfast and we get to know each other?" He asked hopefully
"No thanks. I'm not interested" I walked towards the door and left the room. I heard rustling and I knew he was trying to follow. I navigated my way until I got to the parlour. I headed for the door but a hand stopped me. I looked at his hand which was holding mine, then trailed my eyes to look at him
"Look, it's very early. It's not even up to six am yet. Just wait a bit" he looked so desperate and I did not have time for this
Does this guy not understand English? Does he not get the fact that I do not want to spend one more second here? I hate people who can't take hints
"Look last night was amazing, fun for me. But I'm not interested in anything okay? I don't even know your name. So please let me go"
He sighed and nodded, a pained expression on his face "I understand. It was just sex. Goodbye"
I gave him a curt nod, opened his door and left. I looked around and recognized where I was.
Thank God. Now it's time to do the walk of shame.
I regretted my choice of clothing once I stepped out of the house. My legs were freezing and my jean jacket wasn't doing a good job at keeping the cold out. I hugged my body tighter as I walked, remembering it rained last night. I walked to the road and hailed down a cab. Telling him my address, I got in
"Madam na five hundred naira oo. That place far. Shebi na drop? (Madam it's five hundred naira. It's drop right?)" The man asked
"Yes it's drop. Let's go" I replied.
I closed my eyes to ease the throbbing headache I was having. I was going to work late today. I sighed as my phone began to ring. I fished it out of my purse and without looking at the caller, I picked up and placed the phone on my ear, already knowing who was calling me by this time.
"Where are you? Tee and I have been looking for you. Who did you go home with?" Doyin asked, obviously panicking
Did she just notice I wasn't with them?
I winced at how high her voice was and rubbed my aching head "please stop shouting"
"Sorry. But where are you?" She asked, sounding more collected
"I followed a man I barely know home and I'm on my way back. I just hope I don't see Kazeem when I get back coz I don't have strength for his stress. My head is aching so badly" I groaned. I looked at the rear mirror and met the judging eyes of the driver
