Kazeem's POV
She wasn't lying to me, right?
I looked at the pictures on my phone and sighed. Steph told me that Ebere was galavanting with a man, entering hotels and hanging out. This is the second time I'm getting a picture from her to prove she was right. In the first picture, Ebere was walking out of a hotel with him and in the second picture, they were hugging each other, while in the third picture, his hand was on her waist and he held the car door open for her.
Last week when I asked her if she was cheating on me, she got angry. Made me feel guilty for even thinking she could do such a thing. Even Jude and Bobby are angry with me for accusing her of cheating. And now, these pictures are showing me something different.
She technically isn't doing anything in those pictures
I look at the time and see it's almost noon. I shoot up from my seat, grabbing my car keys and head to Ebere's office. I promised her I'd have lunch with her. I walk out of my office and Ola walks out of hers
"Sir I was about to bring this file to you" she walks closer "it's Mr Braitwaite. He wants to set up a meeting with you"
Ola has been professional for a long while now. I think she realized that I had no feeling whatsoever for her
"What does he want?" I ask impatiently
"He wants to interview you, to talk about your partnership and he also wants to discuss the building of the industry, wanting to know how far you have gone with the negotiation with the French people" she replied
I take the file from her, flipping through it then return it to her "write out the interview questions and pass them through me when I come back. Also all you said now, put it in writing and give it to me when I come back from lunch" I begin to walk towards the elevator
"Sir, can't I have it ready by the end of the day?" She asks, halting my steps
I turn to look at her "Do you know why I'm boss?"
"Because the company is yours?" She asks, confused by my question
"No. It's so that I can frustrate my employees. That's what bosses do. Suck the life out of their employees" I smirk at her and she laughs, obviously remembering when my father said the same thing to me.
"I'll have it by the end of the day sir" she replied and I nod
I stopped by the restaurant to get food then head to her Ebere's office. I park in front of her office, waving at the gateman, who begins to praise me. I smile at him, knowing he wants some money. I put my hand in my pocket and bring out a few naira notes and give it to him without checking the amount, he thanks me and I smile at him, waving him off. I walk in, and the receptionist lets me pass. I climb the staircase and walk into Thelma's office, to see she wasn't there. But then I heard the conversation from Ebere's office, telling me that the two of them were there. I transfer the food from my right hand to my left and move to open the door when Tee spoke
"Have you told Kazeem yet?"
Tell me what?
"No. Not yet" Ebere replied
"Why? What is wrong with you?" Thelma asks
"I don't know if he's ready yet. And you know he's asked me if I'm cheating on him" she sighed "I just don't know how to tell him"
What is she hiding from me?
"And you've been hanging out with Mark lately" Thelma sounds like she's accusing Ebere of something
