I slowly
fell for you
because I learned it was you who calmed
my racing thoughts
into a blue abyss
of perfect waves
as I slowly let you in
I learned there is no drowning
in your eyes
only an aspiration of what we will be
as you trace my skin
and I learn
to trust again
like a boat I've learned to trust the sailor
that even though we may sink
there is always a saving grace
and through the rain
there is always land
just like an astrologer I
seal my fate
and hold your hand
as if I were a seashell
who drifted onto the sands
