Once we finished eating our dinner I heard the front door creek knowing it was my other two siblings "Sorry we're late I had to pick Mia up from work and" Zane immediately covered his ears due to Mias screaming
"ADRIANAAA" she yelled as she ran towards me making zanes face drop "there's no way!?" they both rushed towards me pulling me into their tight hug as I coughed out loud "okay okay you can let me go" I laughed trying to breathe "oh shit sorry" Mia pulled away "I'm so happy to see you Adriana it seems like forever" "it's great to see you little sis" Zane said while pulling me into a more looser hug this time. "It's good to see you too Zane you look so different!" I removed myself from his arms eyeing him from head to toe in disbelief he was kind of more manly now he had muscles he grew a lot more taller "holy shit how tall are you?!" "I'm 6'2" he said with a confident smirk . "You got a neck tattoo" "yeah" "it's cool I like it" , "everyone looks the same from when I left except you!" Which I got a chuckle in response
Caleb still had his brown hair and his same height Mia still had her fair blonde hair with her brown eyes and Stephanie had brown hair like me and blue eyes.
. "And tell her about Cassie" Mia then nudged zane playfully making him roll his eyes. Which I clapped my hands excitedly "sit down at the table tell me everything!!"
"I'm glad your all getting along but don't think you two are off so easily!" My mom snapped at Mia and Zane pointing a spatula at them "oh honey sit down" "you shut up" she said while pointing the spatula at my dad now. "Why weren't you here for dinner?"
Zane decided to speak first while Mia looked scared
"Well there was police cars everywhere and people standing around watc-""Why what's going on! I hope you weren't involved" my mom didn't even let him finish
"No mom let me speak"
"why what's going on" I questioned
"Apparently someone got shot inside the clubhouse strip club, word on the street is that it was one of Carlo vakilis men done it"
I spat my drink out widening my eyes causing everyone to snap their heads at me, grabbing a napkin off the table cleaning my t shirt "sorry I choked"
Everyone soon turned there attention back to Zane
"Okay so what happened?" Stephanie urged him to continue
"There's just people crowded outside the club saying they seen men run out, some saying they heard it happen, just a lot of lies and rumours, basically we probably won't know the full story"
Oh but I will
"For fucks sake! The sooner they all die the better" Stephanie snarled
"I know right" my sister Mia agreed as she sat down with her plate
" I hope you weren't there in along the crowd?!" My mom questioned
"Of course not I just decided to take that road home, bad idea" he nodded his head side to side
"Where is the police when shit like this is going on these gangs they're always getting away with this, that easily could've been Zane or Mia that got killed"! My mother worried while lighting a cigarette
"Mom most likely the person killed is in a gang too maybe a drug deal gone wrong" Zane sighed
"Zane you better not go near that street and You, infact All of you stay away from that side of town until it's cleared!" my dad warned us
We all nodded our head in agreement as I felt my cheeks burning luckily I have makeup on or everyone would be confused as to why I'm getting nervous. I don't think I can ever tell them Carlos name they'd force me to stay here with them and never let me see or speak to him again. But I'm sure gonna find out what happened.
Quickly changing the subject "so Zane a girlfriend huhhhh" I teased him "yeah" he blushed getting embarrassed
"don't be embarrassed Zane" "I'm not" he tried to reassure us but that's not working I can see his own cheeks going red
"yeah you are your cheeks are red" Caleb joked "how long have you been with her?" I questioned "7 months" "that's long, how is she? does she treat you right? do you have any pictures?" "Yeah and yeah" he turned his phone on turning it towards me so I could see his Lock Screen. It was of him and a girl with light brown hair lightly tanned skin and green eyes. "Damn she's pretty" "yeah " he grinned proudly
"has everyone met her?" I looked around to all my siblings who nodded in response "Yeah she came over here for dinner" Mia answered "well then it's only fair I meet her too!" I said looking fake offended "I agree let adri meet her" "she should be here tomorrow night anyway" which then Caleb gasped "oh yeah we forgot to tell you were having a family party tomorrow night for moms birthday"
We spent around 2 hours catching up on life but I was finally feeling too sleepy to talk.
"Guys I loved seeing you all, I'm gonna go to bed it's been a long day" I hugged everyone as I left to go upstairs i slept in the same room as Stephanie.
When I got to my room I didn't bother to unpack my suitcase it's only 3 days anyway so there was no point. I went through my suitcase to find my tooth brush and pyjamas once I got my things I went to the bathroom.
When I came out of the bathroom Stephanie was already sitting on her bed that was beside mine. I walked in and sat down on my bed as we started talking.
"It's so good to have you here even though it's only three days I wish it was longer" she expressed
"Me too, I missed you guys so much you have no idea" I let out a loud sigh putting my head back to stop the tears "Why don't you stay here?"
"I have a life now in NewYork I don't wanna just get up and leave it" I pouted slightly
"You seriously haven't had a boyfriend in the past two years nearly three?" I played with my bracelet with nerves if I was gonna tell anyone in my family it would be Stephanie or Mia.
"Nope", "you're lying" "I'm not"
"Stop I know you better than anyone in the whole world and plus you always play with your bracelet when you're nervous, you've been doing it since were kids!" She stared deep into my eyes interrogating me. "It's nothing" "don't lie"
We stared at eachother a good minute before I couldn't handle it anymore.
"Oh my god! ok I may or may not have a boyfriend" i don't even know if carlo was being serious but I'm guessing he was, why else would he say it.
I smiled while she got up from her bed jumping up and down I quickly grabbed her "shhhhhh everyone's gonna ask why your excited"
"I don't care, I am!!!" "Can I meet him, oh..yeah he's in NewYork" her smile turned into a frown quickly,
I seen as she had sadness all over her face. "You can meet him the next time I come back", "but when will that be? Another year" I quickly grabbed her arm to get her attention as she sat beside me on the bed "hey!, I'll be visiting more often from now on!",
"Can I see a picture of him? Or what's his name" she ask quietly. "I don't have any pictures but his name is Zack",
I can tell she's upset right now she probably feels like I'm leaving her or my family behind maybe she feels I'm not including her in my life, but I'll never do that I just can't tell them this secret just yet. "I feel like you're moving on with your life and leaving us behind", "Never! How about we go to lunch tomorrow you can meet Noah?", she looked up at me surprisingly "wait what, that guy you were talking about at dinner?", "yeah my best friend he traveled here with me" a look of shock written on her face "where is he?!" "He's staying in a hotel but we can go for lunch tomorrow?", "yeah I would love too" she quickly hugged me before getting up and going over to her bed "goodnight adri" a smile placed on my face as I lay back turning the lamp off like old times... the memories
