Repost of chapter last night in case people didn't see it.

************

The sun was just starting to set behind the trees and the witches were going to be showing up soon. We'd been told to meet at the house that would act as the central anchor point for the pack. My parents were here as well as Allison and Jason.

Both packs new what was going to happen, we'd given each of them an extensive rundown of what would go on. Zachary had said life could go on as normal within the packs, everything would just move to it's new location.

The witches arrived in their typical fashion, opting to stay away from automotive advancements. Instead they materialized in what would soon be the front yard of the house.

Zachary was standing with three women and one man. He stepped forward and shook my hand.

"I'd like to introduce you all to four members of the coven I am part of." He turned toward the others and pointed as he said their names, introducing first them, and then us.

I still wasn't sure how I felt about using witches, especially when there were five of them standing in front of what would soon be my home.

"Shall we get to work?" Zachary asked with a showful clap of his hands.

The other witches nodded and the five of them got to work. Allison and I stood side by side watching them.

"What are they doing?" She asked quietly.

"I'm not entirely sure," I murmured. They were walking around, talking quietly and gathering up different things in bottles and jars.

"This is going to be the front yard and how big are you wanting it to be?" Zachary asked looking over to me.

I went over and started walking a paimeter for the yard space that I wanted. Zachary nodded and took the size into account to base it off the mapping I'd given him of what I wanted. He went back to the other witches and they kept working.

It slowly got darker, the sun barely visible anymore. The first stars would soon be coming up. Even now when I looked up I could see the moon, the very thing the witches drew on for their spells and rituals.

In that way we were the same. Both of our energies came from the moon. It was just hard to understand how someone could bend and manipulate the world around us. I wasn't going to question it as long as it helped us though.

Between the five they were pouring liquids and mixing powders.

When the moon was shining bright they turned back toward us.

"We're ready if you are," Zachary said.

"We're ready." We made sure we were all standing inside what would be the limits of the front yard.

The witches started a chant in another language, one that none of us could understand. I could feel the power as they chanted. It was like something physical rippling through the air. I could tell Allison had felt it too, she'd let out a small gasp.

I felt a shimmer ripple through the ground and the sound behind me said that the others felt it as well. It was like a small scale earthquake.

Soon the area around us started changing. The place started forming around us in chunks, the woods and forest around us disappearing first, soon being replaced by homes.

It was ten minutes before the tremors settled down and people started to come outside. I looked around with wide eyes. I couldn't believe it had actually worked. It had worked perfectly. At least it looked like it had.
