-Louis-
It was all I could do to be here. I am so tired, I am so damn tired, but how could I tell Harry that? How do you tell your husband, oh yeah, I was planning on giving up last night? How do you tell him, I can't take it anymore?
This morning was particularly bad. I knew it was the last day I would ever see the light. I took his hand, and slowly moved my body so that I could talk to him, "honey, are you awake?"
"I am now. What's wrong?" He sat up.
"Nothing, I just wanted to hear your voice."
"Baby-"
"I love you," I smiled.
"I love you too," he kissed my lips so gently and then got out of the bed, "what do you want to do?"
"I want to sit here, with you."
"Oh okay."
I nodded. He knew, he knew that it was so soon. He just didn't want to admit it, but I was ready. Not ready to leave him of course, but ready for my literal broken heart to be fixed, once I pass, my broken heart will pass onto my love, who will be broken for a little while, but the difference is that he will get to live through his broken heart, he will get to move on, he will get to grow old. I however, get to watch over him.
He slipped back into the bed, under the covers so that our skin could touch.
Touch.
-Harry-
He was pale. He was so pale, his skin was so warm, he was burning up, I didn't need to worry him though. I didn't need to worry myself. I ran my fingers through his hair, "Are you okay right now? Can I get you anything?"
"Just you."
"Okay," I slouched down next to him, wrapping my arms around him and holding him.
"Harry, tell me about what you're going to do after graduation."
"Oh Louis-"
"No, no, cause you are graduating right?"
"Of course, just a little later than everyone else."
"Okay, as long as you are, but of course if you didn't want to, then that's okay, I guess," he coughed, "I guess I don't have a choice," he coughed again.
"How about you sit up?"
"No, I want to stay here, can you go get me some water?"
"Sure." I kissed his head, feeling his fever on this rise. I walked into the kitchen getting a glass of water and filling it with ice. This should cool him off a little bit. I looked towards the calendar, "just a little bit longer Lou," I sighed and I flipped to our graduation date. I don't think it will be ours though.
I sighed and walked back into the bedroom, "here you go my love."
"Thank you," I brought the glass up to the his lips and then sat it down onto the table. He breathed in tiny breaths and once in a while, one big one that would cause his body to shake a little. I would looked over to him to make sure he breathed again, and he did.
"Love," he coughed, "erm, can you help me please?"
"Sure," I sat up attentively, "what do you need?"
"I have to pee."
"Okay, come on ." I took his arms, bringing him to my feet. His knees wobbled beneath him. I nearly broke. "Honey, I can carry you."
"No, I want to walk."
"Alright," I grabbed onto his hand, leading him across the hallway, I flicked on the light.
