-Louis-
We've been sitting in this damn waiting room for about half an hour. About every ten minutes a nurse comes to call someone back and I swear every time I feel like I'm going to throw up. I'm so nervous.
"Harry, what are you looking at?" He'd been staring at his phone for five minutes, smiling and laughing.
"Look at these cats," he handed me his phone.
"Harry, oh my lord." I rolled my eyes and handed him his phone back.
A nurse walked out, she looked around and finally caught eyes with me. "Louis, you and Harry can come on back."
I took a deep breath and walked forward. Harry took my hand as we followed the nurse to one fo the rooms in the back.
"The doctors will be in with you shortly."
"Thank you." Louis said.
"Harry I'm so nervous." I said looking over to him. His expression showed a covered up version of anxious. Like when you're mum sees something that you shouldn't and says it's fine and to keep walking. He stopped fiddling with the thumbs and looked up at me.
"It's going to be alright. Like you said, it's going to be okay." He smiled and rubbed my hand. A fake smile, by the way. I shook my head and focused on his eyes.
"I love your eyes." I said. I just wanted to run my hands through his hair.
"Thank you." He blushed.
The door creaked open. Dr Barnes and a few others walked in. Automatically making me panic.
"Hello guys, this is Dr Thomas and Dr Miguel." He gestured towards them. I nodded at them and turned back to Dr Barnes, he started, "We've looked at all of your tests, and blood work, and been through your symptoms many time." He pulled out a file that had multiple papers in it. "The tumor that is on your heart was found to be cancerous."
I felt like I had to throw up. I was going to throw up. Oh my god. Oh my god. I can't-
I sat up a little straighter and looked over to Harry, who had his hand covering his mouth . He was shaking a little bit. I felt like I couldn't feel anything, my life had just been ripped right out of my hands.
"There are many stages of cancer in the heart. However, you are at a stage where a lot of the usual things that we would do to cure or remove the tumor will not be possible." Dr Miguel started taking her hands to the charts that she was showing. Why are they so calm? Why?
"Oh my god-" Harry's face turned pale.
I couldnt say anything, it felt like someone took a dagger and shoved it though my chest, causing my ability to do anything to disappear .
"It is possible to relieve the symptoms that you are having though."
I nodded looking down to my legs. This couldn't be happening, dear lord this had to be a dream. I felt my throat closing. I looked back up at them.
"Because heart tumors are so rare, we wanted to look into it more, it seems like the tumor has spread to your lungs which is why you are experiencing the shortness of breath." They said it so damn calm. It was unsettling.
"How long do I have?"
"Louis-" Harry reaches out for my hand.
"No harry- I want to know." I sniffled.
"It can be different depending on how everything goes."
"How long?" I asked more sternly this time.
