Our castle burned down,

the fire had overpowered our indestructible walls,

the ruthless fire started by you in the shadows,

had come after our crowns.

Oh, but how you adored our kingdom.

So you tried to put out the fire,

with a futile fight,

you had me locked in the safe-room,

said it'll be alright.

Oh, but I should have known,

it was you who had started the fire after all,

you the coward, escaped with negotiations,

you had our kingdom overthrown,

you had our crowns fall.

Foolish me,

had waited for your return,

when I should have run for my life,

Oh, but unlike you,

I believed in trust.

AN: Here fire symbolizes desire. The king to fulfill his desires had many illicit affairs. When it all came to light, the fire he started came at him in all possible directions as criticism. He hid the truth from the queen and tried to negotiate with the 'fire'. The negotiations required him to expose his dirty secret and leave the throne. His ego wouldn't allow him to concede in the queen. So, he let his kingdom go, let his queen die. How?  Do you think he'd expose himself? Of course not. He blamed the queen and escaped. The poor queen who had believed him and hid in the safe-room was then faced with a gruesome consequence for something she hadn't done.
