I traveled miles,
to finally see you,
after what felt like,
an endless spell of rain.
And there you were,
like a clear sky -
embellished with rainbows.
But before I could reach out
and embrace you,
our fleeting moment of tranquility,
was replaced,
by an impudent storm.
And you ran away,
to save your garden,
as the lightning struck,
right through my heart.
