Eragon noticed the dragon grow less tired, and guessed that the Rider, Vanya, had poured some energy into him. Did you see their rate? Eragon commented to Saphira, watching as the Rider and Dragon seemed to be having an argument.
Or their attempt at speed. They were already headed towards Kartiel, the rock. Saphira flapped her wings to keep herself above the waves, watching as they seemed to settle their argument-- or at least drop it.
Eragon waited, watching the girl as she watched him. No greeting. He said to Saphira, still watching Vanya.
She seems a proud one. Saphira said, observing the dragon as well.
He saw Vanya's head look at her dragon, listening to him before she looked at Eragon, "Atra esteldi ono thelduin."
"Mor'arnir lifa hjarta onr." Eragon continued the greeting. Vanya didn't deem to finish it with the third line, so Eragon continued to the matter at hand. "You may follow us back to Evarinya."
She nodded, and Saphira turned, flying away towards it. She will be a challenge to train. Her dragon, maybe not as much, however.
Yes. Eragon commented absently, we will see. The rest of the flight was flown in silence.

You should have spoken first sooner. Kaldar's tone was accusatory as he sat in the room. The island itself was breathtaking, with a natural beauty as well as graceful buildings, built both with design, practicality, and sturdiness.
When they had landed, Eragon had shown them their room, and excused them for the rest of the day until evening. Then they were to meet in the great hall for dinner with the few other Riders.
As he had explained, few eggs had hatched, so there were few Riders. The few that were already fully trained had left, going about Alagaesia.
Vanya crossed her arms, brought back to the present. Truthfully, she didn't know why she hadn't spoken first sooner. In fact, it had only been by Kaldar's prompting that she had spoken at all. Something, though, had kept her from it.
Probably. She eventually answered, sitting down in a chair.
Her satchel was draped on the back of it; She hadn't bothered to unpack yet.
Vanya stood up, even though she had just sat down. I'm going to explore the house. She told him, before heading to the staircase on one side of the room. It was clearly built for humans as well as elves, for the stairs were shorter, and Vanya could step two at a time.
Like in Elesmera, there was a study upstairs, and Vanya smiled softly when she saw it. It was designed well, with a graceful desk in one corner and one chair at it. A clean stack of paper was ontop of it, with a quill placed neatly beside it. A stoppered bottle of ink was above the paper.
A bookshelf was on one side, full of books, some of which Vanya had read, others she hadn't. Looking through the books, there was one book that read "The War of Galbatorix". She pulled it out of the bookshelf gently, even though it was clearly newer.
She flipped through a few pages, testing them before closing the book and setting it on the desk to read later.
A few orbs of light were placed around the room, completely self-sufficient like the ones in Elesmera. There were many similarities to the buildings of Elesmera, except that the atmosphere felt more human. There were also traces of other races: Dwarvish trinkets, Urgal books, other tolkens.
Climbing back down the stairs, she found Kaldar cleaning his scales. He looked up as she came in, before continuing his task.
"Look, I'm sorry." she said eventually, hating the silence.
You are forgiven. He said, Although I hope you will be more respectful to our master in the future.
That's right. Master. The word came off distastefully, and Vanya sat back down in the chair. The room was very spacious for obvious reasons, including that a dragon needed to fit inside it. Vanya did wonder what would happen when Kaldar grew bigger, as the room wasn't that big, but for the time being, it suited them both well.
The clock on the wall ticked, annoying Vanya, and reminding her how much time had passed. The sky had darkened, and it was time to go to dinner.
Looking in the closet in the bedroom, Vanya found fresh changes of clothes. Looking at them for a minute she left the closet. She rebraided her hair, strapped her sword back on, and went to Kaldar.Time to leave. She climbed onto his back and he took off.
Landing in front of the great hall, they saw Eragon and Saphira already waiting.
"Welcome, formally, to Evarinya." Eragon said, his hand resting on Saphira.
"The other Riders are inside, waiting for us." he said, before turning. Vanya and Kaldar followed him into the hall.
Hello! Sorry it's been so long since an update, but they should be more frequent in the future :)
