Zehra's POV
A week passed and we stayed like that. He'd always wait for me every morning like everytime I get down my car, he was there waiting for me holding a crepe-paper flower and it's good I could refrain myself from being loud 'cause I'm scared I might really break his eardrums if I kept doing that.
Sa tanghali, we'd always eat together and I really guess I'd be certified vegetarian quite soon. Well, I must say his cooking skills is getting better, mejo nagkakalasa na naman.
He's really working for it 'cause he once brought lutong-gulay dun sa landlady nila and she told him wala itong lasa so he get back at me dahil hindi ko daw sinabi yung totoo and I just laughed hard at him that time.
At sa hapon naman, after both our classes ended, we'd go to the street food market and spend our time eating while talking about random things. He talked to me about his goals and dreams. It was perfect, it's exactly the way I always wanted us to be.
But he never mentioned anything about us. I don't wanna ask him either tho I really wanted to. Ayoko siyang pangunahan. Besides, I made myself clear that I'm done with the chasing. I won't do the move anymore.
For what its worth, I'd go with the 'come what may' mantra this time.
"Hey Zehra, what do you want for dessert?" Kuya Rylan asked raising his brows that pulled me out with my thoughts.
"Huh? No, I'm good. I'm already full." I simply answered. I'm here at 'Miranda' restaurant with my cousins on Dad's side. Nag-aya sila sa GC ng sudden lunch, treat daw ni Kuya Brian 'coz he won on a car racing last night and since I have nothing to do din naman, naki-join ako pero lumilipad kung saan yung utak ko.
I've never been so excited on Mondays. But with the thought that I'd be with Raze again, I badly wanted it to come tho I doubt I'm quite prepared for sudden quizzes and recits.
"You're too occupied, Zeia. Mind to tell me what you're thinking?" Vira muttered in a low manner but enough for me to hear since she's just sitting next to me.
"It's nothing." I answered.
"Your face looks so bright. Are you in love?" She asked which made me looked at her in a flash. She's smiling so wide and her little merry brown eyes reflect it.
I couldn't help but smile back at her. Ever since we were kids, siya na yung pinakamalapit sa 'kin. Every time mag-aaway away kami way back then, we'd always stood with each other. She's like a sister to me.
I was about to answer her when my eyes landed on a familiar back that went out of the kitchen and now walking outside the restau.
I could feel my heart beats so fast as I followed his pace. I think it's Raze.
"Sorry guys, I need to go. Thank you for the lunch." I said as I stood up and get my bag. I heard them called but I just waved my hand as a response.
And here I said I won't chase him anymore.
Because without second thoughts dali-dali akong lumabas ng restau and I immediately recognize his back even in the midst of people going to and fro. It's him. I know. And he's not that far yet.
I wanted to run after him but I couldn't. I'm just wearing a stringed above the knee mustard flowy dress and I might end up exposing myself so I just walked faster instead but I know I wouldn't possibly reach him by that.
But fortunately, he stopped sa bilihan ng buko juice so I walked even faster hanggang maabot ko siya.
"Raze." I called catching my breath and he looked back at me like a shot. His eyes widened while he's sipping in the plastic of buko juice.
