me and payton just ate chick fil a and we were in bed, i was facing the wall and i'm sure he was facing the other way, all the memories with callum came flooding back and i started to cry silently, i accidentally sniffed and payton said;
p| avery.
i turned around and he was sat up.
p| are you okay?
a| no.
i started sobbing and he pulled me into a hug, my head was on his chest and he stroked my hair.
p| callum?
a| yes
i sobbed
p| he's an asswhole okay you have me charli nick your parents my mom and jaden, please don't be sad because that makes me sad.
he lifted my head and kissed my forehead.
p| if you need to cuddle me you can
he smiled and i did too, he wiped my tears with his fingers,we laid down and i cuddled him, he was so gentle and i loved it, its rare for a boy to care for me and i'm so lucky to have payton as a friend, i hate callum so much he's dead to me, compared to payton callum's a fool a mother fucking fool.

he whispered
a| goodnight.
he kissed the top of my head and i felt so relaxed, i instantly fell asleep.

(time skip, the next day)
me and payton just got out of class and we were walking outside until i heard my name being called, i turned around and it was callum.his face was all bruised and he looked like he just got beat up, no shit avery, lol payton said;
p| come on avery he isn't worth it.
we were about to walk away when callum said;
c| why did you tell your brother and your dad you slag.
he pushed me to the wall and i said;
a| slag? name a person i've slept with other than you and the only time i did sleep with you was when you r@ped me, anyway i dump you.
p| hey don't touch her
payton pushed him off me.
c| and what are you gonna do?
p| i'll get you more cuts and bruises.
c| bet.
callum stuck his hand down my skirt and i felt him touch me there, i screamed and payton pushed him off me, payton punched him and callum said;
c| STOPP!
payton carried on hitting him, josh, my brothers best friend saw what happened and he joined in, they were punching callum, i didn't feel good, my head felt heavy and a few seconds later everything went black.

•paytons pov•
i heard a thud behind me and avery was passed out on the floor.
p| JOSH
he turned around and picked her up, i wanted to be the one to do that but it's fine, we ran to joshes car and we rushed to the hospital,
jo| can you call jaden and jadens parents?
he gave me his phone and i called her dad
p| h hello
ad| hello? josh?
p| no it's payton avery she passed out and me and josh's are rushing her to the hospital.
ad| oh my god i'll be there in a few seconds AH MY BABY GIRL.
he started to cry and i said;
p| see you there
ad| wait payton.
p| yeah
ad| nevermind
his voice was shaky, he ended the call and we got to the hospital, i picked up avery yesss! and we ran inside, josh ran to the desk and said;
jo| hello! my sister just passed out we need help!
desk lady| please wait a moment son.
jo| DOES IT LOOK LIKE I HAVE THE TIME TO WAIT!
he banged on the desk, a doctor came with a stretcher bed thing and i laid her down on it, her dad walked through the door and hugged me.
jo| she's gonna be okay.
ad| i hope, thank you payton, thank you josh.
jo| are you payton?
p| yeah are you averys brother?
jo| no but yes
i was confused.
jo| it's confusing, im her brothers best friend, have you heard about sway.
p| yeah have you heard about payton moormeier.
jo| WH- no way!

a doctor came up to us and said;
d(doctor)| avery passed out but now she's awake would you like to go see her?
ad| yes.
averys dad walked into the room avery was in, me and josh followed, we walked in and she was sat on the bed with her head in her hands.
a| guys
she lifted her head when she heard the door open.
ad| hello sweetheart what happened?
a| i'm not sure everything just went black
ad| are you okay now?
she nodded yes and opened her arms, she looked at me and i hugged her.
a| your hugs heal me.
i giggled, that was the cutest thing anyone's ever said to me.
p| do they?
a| dad give payton a hug isn't that the best thing you've felt.

(time skip, at home)
the doctor said i could go home but i shouldn't overthink and stress myself out so i had to be careful about what i think about, i was sat in my room putting some nail polish on my toe nails when the doorbell rang and i ran downstairs and i opened the door, it was payton.
p| hey!
he had a basket and roses in his hand.
a| hello!
p| these are for you.
i made an awh face.
a| you didn't have to get me anything.
p| i did.
a| why
p| because you deserve it
i hugged him and he hugged me back.
p| i'm so proud of you for sticking up for yourself at school.
a|me too i didn't think i could do it.
p| you did and i'm so proud of you.
we pulled away from the hug and he handed me the flowers and i said
a| thank you so much, come in.
p| okay.
ja| suppp sis
a| suppp bro.
ja| yo payton i heard what you and josh did to that guy, thanks for that.
p| it's fine i'll do anything to protect this innocent soul.
he hugged me, that was so cute, i smelt the flowers and i said;
a| these smell so good
payton smiled
ja| asswhole
he punched my arm lightly.
a| awwww
ja| shut up it didn't even hurt.
a| it did.
p| it's okay it will get better
he rubbed my arm.
