"So she was right, he really is dating Sakshi." May clenched her fist as she stomped on the ground. Mayank who was beside her flinched at the noises.

May left the library in anger but soon was followed by her boyfriend.

"Hey, what happened?" Mayank asked her being concerned about the commotion.

"Um, nothing. It's just.." she became angrier as she reminded herself of the picture.

"It's just, what?" He asked her again.

"Aarush is dating Sakshi, no matter how many times I tell him he won't listen, will he?" Her tone was definitely scary to a point where it wasn't cute anymore to him, her eyes looked intimidating and Mayank immediately knew that it wasn't a joke.

"What? He is? I don't think so." He tried calming her down, looking at the upside which could mean that whatever she said wasn't true.

"Look at this." She said as she showed him the picture sent by one of her friends who knew how Sakshi was.

"Okay, then they are." He agreed immediately.

"They shouldn't be, Sakshi will annoy him or maybe even is." She almost shouted as they were near the Soccer field.

"Why are you bothered by it babe? Maybe she has changed?" Baffled by her actions, Mayank asked her.

"Why wouldn't I be bothered by it? Sakshi and changing? Impossible" May snapped back at him.

As she looked down at the picture again, she hated how genuine Aarush's smile looked in the picture. No matter how childish it sounded for an eighteen year old to feel like, she did.

"I mean, he is our friend. Shouldn't we support his decision?" Asked Mayank.

"I would if it were anyone else, Sakshi is just too much." She bobbed her head to her left, avoiding the eye contact.

"Would you really? You act really possessive for a friend." He asked almost losing his mind on how his girlfriend behaved because of a picture.

"What? What do you mean by that?" There she knew it,

Am I caught? Does he know it?

Her thoughts were invaded by his words.

"No nothing, forget it. Let's get back home. I'll drop you." He said running his fingers through his hair in frustration.

"No, you can go. I have to study a little bit more, I'll get back to the library." She said, avoiding his eyes.

"Then I'll stay with you."

"You can go ahead. Please."

"Okay, bye." He left just like that.

May

My paranoia had started hitting me.

Did Mayank actually know about this? Did Aarush tell him?

He wouldn't do that, would he?

Did Sakura tell him?

She wouldn't betray me like that, right?

Instead of letting my thoughts take over my mind and get crazily good at it, I decided to ask Aarush. But before that I wanted to know what his deal was with Sakshi.

I knocked on his door hoping him to be there alone and not with that girl.

"Hey." He greeted me with a grin to which I half smile.

Looking at his face, he didn't seem drained out like he usually would be whenever he was with her.

He actually is happy.

"I wanted to talk to you about something." I said regardless of how I read the situation.

"Okay tell me." His smile turned to a frown right after he sensed that I was being serious.

"Did you perhaps tell Mayank anything about wha-t h-had happened?" I tried my best to not choke on my words as it was hard to forget what had happened.

"No, I didn't." He said tilting his head a bit to his side.

"Okay." I couldn't ask him more, I had to believe him.

He is my friend, isn't he? And why would he out of all the people do that?

"What's the deal with Sakshi? I mean, I'm nobody to ask you but what is happening? A friend of hers sent me a picture of your selfie." I asked him with my voice lower than the lowest baritone a female could have.

"Huh?" He had a perplexed look on his face.

"Nothing, as long as you are happy." I smiled sadly at the boy in front of me who just stood there fiddling with his rings.

Silence took over the place, neither did he wanted to talk about it nor did I. The situation was very confusing to me. I was confused as to why he would ask me for the help when he all he did was to return back to Sakshi.

"I'm not happy." He said finally looking at me, breaking the silence.

"Then wh-hy would you do that?" I asked him.

"I don't know, these days it doesn't feel right.

Nothing feels right. Everything is overwhelming." Sadness took over his voice.

"Is it because of her?" I was scared to take Aditi's name. I didn't want to see him in pain anymore but also wanted to help him out without letting him notice that I am.

"Not only her, also a lot of things I can't talk about." He said looking into my eyes.

His eyes, the hazel coloured orbs looked like the endless sky that had freshly spread out.

His eyelashes were long, why have I never seen it?

"Why Sakshi?" I managed to ask him even though I could feel the tension I had felt the other day.

Fuck, why is it happening again?

"Would you be the one then?" Aarush suddenly growled as he took my waist pinning me to the wall.

My breath hitched as he did that completely making me a voiceless human.

"Go." He said as he released me and it didn't take me a minute to leave the place.

Fuck, I am falling into this dangerous pit.
