∆ Those who taunt us, saying we're lost in debauchery..
I've seen even them come in these lanes in hiding..
This is the truth, not a false rumor.. you say, isn't it true? ∆

" You don't seem like yourself anymore, what's happening? Are you hiding something from me?" Mayank asked his girlfriend who was sitting on the sofa hugging her knees

" You don't seem like yourself anymore, what's happening? Are you hiding something from me?" Mayank asked his girlfriend who was sitting on the sofa hugging her knees.

"I don't know, I am not hiding anything from you. I...

I just don't feel the best." She shifted her head towards the window sill.

"You know that you can depend on me right?" He asked her, worried.

When it involves you, no I can't... I don't want to break your heart.

"I know, I will tell you everything when the time is right." She smiled at the boy who was waiting for that one response to which he ran to hug her.

"Remember, whatever it is. We are all in this together. It will hurt you today but that's what will make you a better person tomorrow." Mayank said as he kissed her on her cheeks.

"Thank you."

-

"Please open the door, May. I want to talk to you." Aarush banged on the girl's door.

May had been starving herself for the past two days. Sakura tried her best but she couldn't do a thing, all Mayank could do was visit her. When Aarush was made aware of the situation it broke his heart.

May herself didn't know what the reason was.

It was blinding her.

But she finally opened the door welcoming her friend who was there with a bag full of food.

"What do you want Aarush?" She stood with her hand still on the door handle.

"Let me in first." He cheekily smiled at her as he forced himself in.

As he ran towards the kitchen to grab a bottle of water from her refrigerator she closed the door and made herself comfortable on the sofa.

"Why are you not eating anything? What happened that night? I remember meeting you in the club but I don't remember anything that I said or whatever happened." Aarush grabbed the noodles and offered her food. May was hesitant but in the end she accepted it.

"Nothing happened."

"I don't like lies."

"You won't like the truth either."

"What do you mean by that?"

"Nothing Aarush, let's eat."

"You are telling me what happened, right now and we will solve it."

"No, I am not. Let me be."

"You will, May" he back hugged her trying to comfort her.

"No, Aarush. Leave me now." She almost shouted to which he left her and went back to his seat.

"You asked me to break up with Mayank." She finally opened up which left Aarush in shock as he tried to process her words.

"I didn't mean that." He left his soft voice out as he hung his head low.

"You did."

"I'm sorry I said that, I didn't mean it."

"I don't want to leave Mayank, I like him a lot and for all that he has done for me. I can't leave him." She slurped her noodles loud as she said it.

Aarush just looked at her face which showed no whatsoever emotions which he held for her. It broke his heart, but slowly which was even more painful.

He wanted to run away from everything but the huge rope of being a good friend held him back. He couldn't let his feelings win over the relationship they had in between.

"Okay, I didn't mean whatever I said, for the last time."

"Okay."

The silence overpowered them as they tried their best to finish their food without trying to let their cheeks stain with the tears.
