Escaping the Nightmare

My suspicions were confirmed when I saw a brief look of it, but I managed to fended it off long enough to use the nearby crane. Fighting the tyrant until I knocked it away. "Leon we're over here!" Y/n called out, and I rushed over patching up Ada's leg, and hugging Y/n like there was no tomorrow. "L-Leon. I'm fine, y-you can l-let go now." She stuttered out, and after we began to search aroun for the entrance to NEST.

I was searching bear the control panel when Y/n called to us both. "Here." She said and we walked in the tram, "I agree." Y/n said when I'd told them, "I can't wait for the FBI to raid Umbrella HQ and arrest them." Ada told us, "As much as I agree, neither of you are working in official capacity. This is a federal case. After I get the sample, I'll be back on my own." We reaffirmed our trust in each other, she tried to kiss me but I pushed her away and hugged her instead. "I'm going with him. Just don't get yourself killed, Ada." Y/n told her as she left with me.

Walking with Leon I shuddered at the familiarity of the facility, it brought back memories of the time when I briefly worked for Umbrella, but I swallowed down my fear and pressed on. "Filth." I stated when I used my progenitor like abilities to destroy the zombies Leon missed, "Almost." I muttered as we neared the lab where Annette was, "Duck!" I yelled and speared a zombie through its head with my claws, vibrating them to make the head explode.

To my relief, Leon didn't see any of that, and we fixed a door pad letting us into a large room, "West. Got it." I said and proceeded to walk with Leon, we came across webbed up bodies, "What the hell...?" I ran forwards, and pressed a button, "Dispensing solution now." The area from before was open, and I ran through while holding his hand, making it to this room safely. "Flamethrower. Now." I said and Leon shot flames at the mutants, and we ran through once more, getting to the server room.

Narrator pov

The two ran through, and Y/n froze all the zombies in their path. "I'm okay." She reassured after a zombie had slashed a gash on her right calf. He paused for a moment, but despite his worries stood up, and helped up his friend. "Duck!" She suddenly shouted blasting a zombie with fire from her gun, "Now, we can go." She pulled him back up from the ground, and they came across a computer. "Yeesh. Must've been a terrible day." Y/n sarcastically blurted as Leon read the emails aloud.

"The..Tyrant....." she muttered when the large tyrant from the parking garage began chasing after them, shortly after it dropped down into the greenhouse. "Run!" She screamed, and grabbed his hand, pulling him away as the Tyrant followed. They ran right into the room where the last vial of the virus was. "Got it." Y/n said as a self-destruct sequence activated. "Of course." She commented as Leon grabbed her free hand and tugged her along. "Oh no. Leon-!" She yelled as the tyrant grabbed her again, and kept her away from Leon.

He raised his gun but the elevator behind him had opened, "Move. He's mine." Annette who had suddenly run in said and shot a gun filled with some sort of solution at the large mutated tyrant, "This has to end." She said as the tyrant fell to its knees, but the solution also hit Y/n making her cry in agony, "Aggghhhh!" She fell to the ground, her skin was burned by the solution, as she writhed Annette approached William. "Sorry, William. You left me no choice." She shot again, and more solution hit the injured Y/n further intensifying her pain.

"L-Leon.." she murmured as he approached her and pulled her away from Birkin. "You called that thing "William." Why?" He asked and Annette told him of how her husband became that thing. "It should never had been like this. Poor girl...this poor girl was also entrapped in this mess because of him." She gestured to Y/n and Leon asked, "How did she get involved in this? She's just an independent researcher."

Leon's pov

Annette had given me an unreadable look, laughed strangely then told me, "Is that what she told you? *scoffs* She's an ex-researcher for Umbrella. Before she was terminated from her employment, my husband William, repeatedly tried to coerce her into being his mistress." She scoffed saying, "But she's too smart for that kind of manipulation, and he knew that. So he knocked her out one day, and experimented on her." She didn't let me speak, "Gave her Dr. Wesker's antibodies he had in a vial, and then he injected her with an experimental virus he was still working on labelled 'M'." She gazed at the girl in my arms, "She's anything but human now."

Annette was about to say something else, when William grabbed her and threw her against a wall. "Damn." He grew more limbs, and attempted to grab Y/n once more from me. "Not a chance in hell." I said to him and placed Y/n on the floor, fighting this mutated scientist with all I had. "Leon..?" I looked over briefly to see a still recovering Y/n sit up unaware of the situation, she must've figured it out because in an instant her fingers turned to claws that speared through William, letting me attack with everything again.

William finally fell, and I rushed over with Y/n to the lift, reaching a heavily injured Annette. "Annette that sample, I know you want it destroyed but, I want to rob Umbrella of everything. Ada needs it, I don't care if she sells it, I just want to see this damned company burn. Burn to ashes." Y/n glared a little, "Rest in peace Annette, may you and William meet in the afterlife." She grabbed my hand and we met Ada near the central lift, "Here. Sell it and make this company burn." She handed the sample to Ada who smiled, "So, finally showing who you are? Well, I'll take care of this."

I stopped them, "Y/n. Please don't, please rethink this." She could hear the desperation in my words, and after a few seconds pulled her hand holding the sample vial away from Ada, handing it to me. "You're right, there are other ways that are better." Ada scoffed at them before aiming her gun and  shooting Y/n's arm. "Oh Ada," the bullet fell out, "You should know by now that doesn't work when I can tell it'll happen."

Narrator pov

The two women began fighting, and even Ada was no match for her reawakened abilities, her claws, and long ranged fighting bestung the mercenary. "I'm not gonna hand it over, so you can give up or lose your life now." The h/c woman readied her claws, but Ada was knocked off by a shake, holding onto Leon's hand. "Grab on!" The girl suddenly yelled, arm outstretched, Ada shook her head and dropped below, shocking both of them.

"Leon, we have to go." Y/n told him, after their short transmission to Claire broke off. They ran through the facility as Leon looked at her, she didn't seem mutated like William yet she still wasn't entirely human either. Even though he had no idea what to even think about her, he knew one thing was certain, he had fallen for her. As they ran, the other tyrant dressed in that black trenchcoat dropped down, but they quickly lost it after falling below when the platform broke. "N-No." She yelled when that same tyrant dropped down, its power limiter now broken it began grabbing at her, while trying to murder Leon.

"Let go!" She screamed and awaken another power, "Screeeeeeee!!!" She screamed into the tyrant's face, detonating its head and allowing Leon to shoot his final missile at it, blowing its upper half to smithereens. They finally reached the bottom floor, when the timer began it's two minute countdown, "Hurry!" She shouted and they piled onto the train, departing as the facility crumbled and destroyed itself. "So, I get it if you never want to be in contact with me again. I mean, I'm not even sure what I am anymore, so...!" He silenced her by passionately kissing her, pulling her closer, he pulled back gently, "I don't care. All I know is..I-I want to be with you, no matter what you are. That is if you'll accept me."

A blush crossed her face, but she hugged him, pulling back with tears pooling up in the corners of her eyes, she nodded, "Yes. I want this too, it's just I'm so afraid that I'll hurt you one day, I just-" she began crying, and Leon embraced her, "I'll still love you even if that ever happens." She sniffled and nodded. The two stood up as Sherry and Claire walked up, "We made it." Y/n said and Claire nodded, "Just like you said we all would."

The three spent the train ride together, discussing their adventures, and what they planned to do in the future. Leon surprised everyone when he proposed to Y/n and the two newly engaged fiancees spent the night talking with their friends, all relieved that the nightmare was over.
