Backstory: Younger brother to Mercury Black, his father attempted to train both as assassins. However, Obsidian defied his father and ended getting beaten for it. Obsidian ran away, in hopes to find his mother, only to end up running into a specialized Grimm who stole his semblance. A green armored man titaled The Doom Slayer came through a portal and saved the young boy. The Slayer took the boy in and could his new endless rage at the Grimm. The Slayer trained Obsidian in his ways and quickly mastered the art of guns and brutality, tearing apart demons and grimm alike, also using the same machine that gave the Doom Slayer his power on Obsidian. That didn't work as planned however. Instead of blessing Obsidian with the power of The Father, The Divinity machine inside amplified his aura, which turned out to be his own Argent energy, to an infinite percentage. Thus creating a similar affect to the Doom Slayer's power. After years of training and preparation, The Doom Slayer made a slightly modified version of his own armor. This one was has a camo paint job to distinguish the two enough, but showed just how similar they truly were. Obsidian took the title of The Grimm Slayer, his old set of weapons from Mars and had VEGA assist him and his father as he re-entered Remnant.
