Chapter 20

I woke up to the sound of loud snoring. Blinking, I saw that Mike held me in his arms on the couch while Ashley was curled up on the loveseat. I groaned and slid out of Mike's arms, stretching. My phone buzzed, alerting me of a new message. Rubbing my eyes I saw that it was a private number, the message I read sent a shiver down my spine.

I am coming.

I deleted the eerie text and looked at the clock; 8:47 a.m.

"Awake sleeping beauty?" Aahley's tired voice sounded from the loveseat.

"You're not so innocent yourself princess." She stuck her tongue out at me and smiled.

"Time for the lake!" She bounded up the stairs. Shaking my head I followed at a slower pace. When I finally stepped into the room I saw that Ashley already had her favorite baby blue bikini on. The skirt was ruffly along with the top. "Get dressed." She threw the same two black pieces of fabric at me once again.

"Uh uh. No way." I shook my head, letting the suit fall to the floor.

"Oh c'mon please?!" She squealed shaking my shoulders.

"Fine! Just stop shaking me." I growled picking up the bathing suit of despair. I sighed, it fit perfectly. The top was decorated with a cute black bow between my breasts and the bottoms had two bows, on on each side. "You didn't just happen to pack an extra did you." It wasn't a question.

"I knew you didn't own any. And this one matched your soul I just had to get it for you." I smiled not being able to control myself. She smiled back and grabbed her sunglasses. "Lets go break some hearts." Ashley sauntered out of the room, swaying her hips. I laughed following. It was warm and the sun was shining, a perfect day for swimming, if you're into that sort of thing. Laying out a towel on the small shore next to the lake I sat and watched as the waters calm surface was broken by Ashley jumping in. I smiled and laid back soaking up the suns rays.

"I like this view." I jumped as Mike's voice woke me from a light nap.

"You're a perv you know?" He grinned and sat down next to me. "Wheres the hellian?" Mike asked me. I pointed to where Ashley was lazing in the water. "Why don't you join her?"

"First of all, I know you want to see me wet and just ew, second, I don't swim."

"That's ok, I'll stay with you." I smiled and laid my head on his shoulder. We sat there not speaking for a while when suddenly a twig snapped behind us. Whipping my head around I gasped and quickly got up.

"Well well what do we have here?" Vivian's lips were pulled back, showing off her sharp fangs in and animalistic smile.

"Who are you?" Mike asked stepping in front of me.

"That's none of your concern human." Blaine said coming up behind us.

"Oh no, looks like you're trapped." Vivian mocked surprise until her face twisted into a sneer. "You can have the boy, Blaine but she is mine." The vampires both advanced on us, Blaine from the back and Vivian from the front. A sudden low growl stopped both of them in their tracks.

"Get away from my Rozalina." Alexander came into view, I chastised myself for biting my lip as he stepped out. His hair was longer, reaching his shoulders and the facial hair made it obvious he hasn't groomed in a while. His deep blue eyes flicked toward me and I gasped at the emotions I saw there, anger, sadness, desperation, and over all desire.

"What did you just say?" Vivian's voice had got cold.

"Get. Away. From. My. Rozalina." He spat.

"Are you threatening me?" She asked, her jaw clenching. Alexander only growled in response. For the first time in months I'm terrified. I am caught between two predators with a common goal; to get to me. Honestly Lina, what have you gotten yourself into?
