The last month was awesome. Since I came to camp about halfway into July, there was only like a month left. And it was possibly the best month of my life. It is now August 18th, and I'm getting ready to go home. I was packing everything away when Percy knocked on my door (him and I were really close, and Annabeth eventually came to her senses. The 3 of us are inseparable!).
"Come in Percy." I said, sad.
"What's wrong Bella?" He asked.
"Last day of camp. And school starts back up again soon." I said.
"Yeah but, soon again it'll be summer. And we'll be back." He said.
"Are you leaving?" I asked.
"Yeah, I'm gonna stay with my mom again this year." He said.
"I'm gonna go back with my dad." I said.
"Hey, do you know what day it is?" He asked.
"Yeah. August 18th." I said, smirking.
"Yeah ok. But there's something special going on today. What is it?" He asked.
"Happy birthday, Seaweed Brain." I said smiling as I gave him a hug.
"You remembered!" He said, ecstatic.
"Of course I did. Open this." I said handing him a box.
"Bella, you didn't have to get me anything, I'm only turning 14." He said.
"Yeah I know, but every birthday is important. Open it." I said.
He opened it, and saw the ring I bought for him. It was ocean blue with a P for Percy in the middle.
"Thank you Bella, I love it." He said, blushing.
"I'm glad. It took me FOREVER to find something!" I said, laughing.
Just the. We heard the conch horn. It was time to leave.
"I'll see you next summer Percy." I said.
"I'll see ya Bella." He said, smiling.
I walked out, bag slung over my shoulder, and headed out of camp.
********** After camp, things just kinda slowed down. Before I knew it, it was December. And I had an important mini quest to go on.
