nobodies POV

marinettes gaze looked up, her eyes locking into a stare with the person on the other end, who she'd coincidentally bumped into

"s-sorry" she stammered

adrien looked down at the bluenette

"no worries mari" adrien said smiling

"is everything okay?" he questioned

"y-y-es" she stuttered, staring at his muscular arms, wishing they'd embrace her

"you seemed upset mari, i hope i didn't interrupt anything between you and whoever was on the phone" he awkwardly smiled

"n-no not at all"

"okay good, are you sure everything's fine, you look a bit sheepish" he repeated

"i-i'm f-fine adrien" she rushed out her words, trying to get this awkward conversation over with, but all her hurrying had achieved was a stammer

"alya and nino should be here in a few days" she gave a weak smile, nervously staring at her hands, desperately trying to make conversation with the blond who stood before her

"nino? alya?" adrien asked in an excited yet confused tone

"y-yeah" she blankly responded, avoiding eye contact with the piercing green eyes that managed to somehow find her gaze despite the avoidation

"why? isn't it break in like a few weeks?" he questioned

"well y-yeah but i just thought it would be nice for them to come down and see us"

her smile was making her face twitch at how fake it was, adrien still confused, trying to work her out

he gave her a gentle nudge, placing his hand on her shoulder

"it'll be great to see nino and alya again mari; im sure we can all catch up and show them around the dorm" he smiled

marinette rested her shoulders back, easing off the anxiety she had previously felt, taking in a deep breath

adrien looked into her eyes, and his widened a little

"oh and, i have something to show you" he said, taking her hand

marinette stared into his eyes, suddenly to be sort of pulled out into the corridor back to their college dorm

adrien pushed open the door to their apartment

"what do you think" he said, his hand still tightly grasped around marinettes

"i-its beautiful" she said, gazing into the room

marinette stared around the paltry dorm room, somehow made to look full

fairy lights rested on the glum walls, shining brightly onto marinettes pale pink cheeks

small candles placed in the crevices of the small room, blankets laid over the snug couch, resting there, waiting for usage

the bumps in the ivory walls were staring in at the room adrien had laid out

the ceilings looking down ahead into the cosy resort that had been prepared

"adrien i-its beautiful" marinette repeated, absolutely astonished at what adrien had done

adrien stood behind marinette, and wrapped his arms around her, kissing the crook of her neck

marinette rested into the embrace, and placed her hand inside adriens, hoping he'd never let go

"while you were away i quickly put this together for us" he whispered into her ear

marinettes cheeks turned a deep shade of crimson, trying not to squirm at her excitedness

"want to join me on the couch" adrien asked in a low voice

marinette stood completely still
