Three

The next morning Jungkook woke up early to get showered and dressed. He wanted to hurry and go check on Jin.

He walked downstairs where he found his mother making breakfast. When she saw him dressed as if to go out, she asked him where he was going.

"I want to go see Jin-Hyung. He had his heart broken last night and I don't want him to be wallowing all alone in his room."

She smiles half-heartedly at her son. Worried that he will get his heart broken too if he continues to fall for the beautiful Omega.

But she knows how stubborn her Alpha son is, so she just tells him to eat breakfast before leaving.

Jin is just waking up too, his chest feeling empty. Like if his heart was torched and burnt to a crisp and left it resting inside his dead chest.

He gets out of bed to start his morning routine. When he comes out and starts getting dressed his mother knocks on his door.

"Come in." He tells her.

She walks in quietly, and looks him over. Her heart breaks as she sees her normally strong son look so broken.

"Good morning sweetheart. Are you hungry? I can make you anything you want."

"I'm not really hungry eomma. Maybe just a smoothie or something."

"Sure.. just let me know if you want anything else."

She then walks over to him and hugs him.

"I know you're hurting Jinnie. But you are strong and you will get over this.

Just because you have a fated mate doesn't mean shit. If he's too stupid to realize what he's losing, then it's his big loss. He will realize his mistake too late."

"Thanks eomma. And you're right. I'm not going to dwell on it. He seems to forget that I am just as hot as he is. Even more so, if I do say so myself. So if he thinks I'm just gonna wait around until he's had his fill of hoe bags, then he can kiss my ass."

His mother smiled happily at his attitude and said, "Yeah! Make him regret what he did. I know you will be fine sweetheart. I'll go make your smoothie now."

She then walks out feeling better, knowing that her son will eventually get better.

A few minutes later, she hears someone knocking. When she opens the door she sees Jungkook and smiles.

"Good morning Kookie. Here to see my angel?"

"Yes eomoni. I have been worried about him since last night. I could hardly sleep."

She smiles and says, "I just spoke to him. He is still down, but trying to put up a brave front."

She then walks back to the kitchen as he follows behind.

"He has only ever had the idea of a life with his mate that the thought of that not happening never occurred to him. But I'm so thankful that he has wonderful friends like you. I have no doubt how much you care about him. And will do what you can to protect him."

Jungkook then looked away as he replied.

"It's because I love him. I have loved him for years. I never cared about his fated mate or whatever. I would just like to take care of him and I will love him with all my soul, if he would ever give me a chance."

She doesn't know how to respond to him. How do you let them know that if he follows his desires, it will only lead him to heartache? For almost everyone involved.

She then tells him, "He's up in his room. Can you please take this to him?"

He smiles and takes it from her before walking upstairs.
