Barry Allen and Kara Danvers were the last ones standing, their world in ashes as they struggled and fought to protect it. It wasn't enough, the combined strength of Supergirl and the Flash didn't stop the inevitable from happening. One by one, heroes fell. Family and loved ones laid lifeless on the ground as they fought to death to protect the world they lived in.
In an attempt to save the last two heroes, the DEO conjured up a machine that made it easier to travel between worlds and universes without the use of super speed. The machine was never meant to be used but it was certainly the last resort. Alex Danvers waved her sister and her friend goodbye as she protected the machine as the two entered it, leaving this world forever.
They were successful in leaving their old world, but something had gone wrong. They were transported to a world where they was no Central City, no Metropolis, no Gotham, nothing. Instead, there was only plain old New York City and another group of heroes, the Avengers.
They meet Iron Man, and everything goes downhill, or uphill, depends on who you ask.
