Those words ring in Brendon's head. Ryan said that it was what his mother said, but was it really? Or was Ryan just embarrassed to be with the school fag? Ryan used to be so popular. That all dropped when he started dating Brendon. Ryan always acted like he loved Brendon. Was it a lie? Was he that bad? He didn't think he was that terrible.
"It's just another day. You can make it." Brendon repeats the words in his mind while walking into Palo Verde High School. Was it? Was it going to be okay? Does he know that for sure?
All he can do is hope.
