Shinichi didn't remember time passing so fast until the first beams of sunlight threw shadows in the streets, and the street lights had been turned off. He flashed a glance at Kaito, smiling to himself. Did they really spend the entire night here, just talking?

Kuroba's bodylanguage was relaxed. He was comfortable. Shinichi couldn't remember the last time he had seen his friend so casual and relaxed, especially in his near.
"Would you like a picture to keep looking?"
Shinichi's eyes grew wide upon being caught staring and his eyes flickered immediately back to the view in front of them.
"There are moments worth passing just so you can remember them one day again. No thanks."
Kaito let out a deep exhale and laid back, flat onto the roof to look up into the sky.

"Morning again..."
Both of them turned silent and Shinichi felt that he could enjoy this quiet moment a bit longer. He was in no rush, he wouldn't ever be in a rush again.
"Kudo?"
Shinichi made a questioning noise, yet refrained from turning around to Kuroba.
"I... I'm not sure if I want to leave again."
A little surprised, Shinichi couldn't resist any longer not to take a glance at his company.
"What do you mean?"
"This is my home, you know? I... I've grown up here. So much of my past and life lies here, buried, just waiting to resurface. I'm not sure if I want to go back."

Kaito sat up, hand ruffling his own hair a bit to make it look even messier than it did before.
"I love my job, my life as it is. I'm doing what I've always wanted to do, show the world of dreams with magic. But I've never felt this home anywhere. I was always travelling. Because I was afraid, I was scared, scared that Pandora would be snatched whenever I stopped for too long."
Kaito hesitated to continue and flashed a glance at Shinichi who was quietly studying his face, obviously listening.
"But I know myself that I cannot stay here. That we cannot stay here. There are people who would recognize us, people that hunt us down and people who could ruin everything..."
A sad smile came onto his lips as indigos faced the morning sun again, enjoying the quietness of the early morning city.
"...it would be nice to have a home again, I guess."

Shinichi finally breathed out a chuckle, earning a surprised glance of Kaito. Why was he laughing?
"That's an easy one. You were lonely, weren't you? Don't lie, I've seen through your eyes. You're always surrounded by people but it's never the same group, never the same person."
He paused for a second, letting his words sink in before he continued.
"We could become roommates, you know? Living with you isn't as awful as I imagined-"
"Hey!!"
"-and you can trust me enough to know that I'm not going to stab you in the back. We could buy a house together and settle down there. What do you say? We could go on tour, I will pick up a job as well that I can do online, and at the end there will always be a place to return to."

Kaito went silent, speechlessly staring back at his amused detective. That... sounded perfect. Just perfect. And he knew by himself, living with Kudo was more relaxed than he had ever expected living so close to another person.

"That would be just perfect."

Shinichi turned sheepish, looking down at his hands that Kaito was excitedly holding. He was pleasantly warm to the touch.
"Where do you want to buy a house? There are so many places we could move to. Germany, France, Britain- no wait, screw that, there's someone I don't want to see- we could even move to South America."
Shinichi blinked twice, then laughed.
"I'd say we decide that on tour. After all, we'll have lots of opportunities to visit new places."
"Perfect."
Kaito finally let go of Shinichi's hands and fell back onto the roof again with a happy chuckle. It was good being childish again. Gosh darnit he missed that.
He flashed a glance back at Shinichi who couldn't refrain from smiling himself. In that moment, Kaito felt deep down inside his heart...

He wouldn't be opposed to spending his eternity with Kudo Shinichi.

A knock at the door brought Haibara out of the kitchen, looking sluggish as ever.

Who on earth is that? It's not even 7am.

Not even half awake, she slowly opened the door in her morning robe, only to stare slackjawed at the beautiful woman in front of her who she knew all too well. Haibara looked down at herself. Grey morning robe, slippers, hair not even made and she hadn't even brushed her teeth yet.
"Good morning, Haibara-chan."
Akako was smiling at her, and she herself was positively flustered. Hastily stepping aside, she invited the witch in.
"C-come in, come in, I- uhm... You're early."
"Yes. Haven't I announced myself in your dream?"

Haibara froze, vaguely remembering to have dreamed about the witch this night. Cheeks turning red, she couldn't help but avoid to look at her company.
"A-ah... I see... Ah... Forgive me, I didn't exactly expect an announcement in my dreams."
"Pardon me, I may have forgotten that."
The witch chuckled.
"How about you dress, and I shall make tea for us?"
Haibara found herself nodding and watched as Akako made her way swiftly into the kitchen, only to march hastily upstairs to get ready. How embarassing! She had to remember Akako announcing herself like this next time.

Stepping into the kitchen, fresh and ready for the day, she found herself staring at an overwhelmed woman in front of a tea kettle. The moment she had been noticed, Koizumi looked up at her and back at the kettle.
"...how do I use this?"
"Pardon?"
Haibara blinked twice. Had she never made tea herself beforehand? Right, she did have a creepy butler last time she had visited her.
"Usually I use a small spell to get things done for me, or I order my butler to do it."

Haibara couldn't help but smile. This was somewhat adorable, in a weird way. She stepped closer and quietly began to instruct Akako how to heat the water properly, at the same time enjoying the scent of flowery parfum wavering from her.
