Dream had been gone for a while and Lilly was becoming bored. He had been doing this the past couple of days where he'll disappear for a couple hours then claim he's working on a surprise. Moving to the kitchen, Lilly went to grab a monster from the fridge when there was a knock at the door. Freezing, she looked to the door unsure of what to do.
"Avoid human interaction or act like an adult?" She murmured to herself. Deciding to act her age, Lilly walked to the front door and braced herself before opening it. Before her stood a middle aged woman who she didn't recognize.
"Oh hi, you must be Lilly." The woman smiled and held out her hand to shake.
"Yeah hi, who are you?" Lilly asked refusing the hand shake.
"I'm so sorry, I forgot to introduce myself. I'm Clay's mom."
"I'm so sorry I didn't know, uh he's not here right now." She smiled and shook the woman's hand.
"Well that's okay, I'll be leaving then." She turned to go back to her car.
"Wait! Actually, why don't you come in. He has been gone for a while so he should be back soon." Lilly called out.
