It was finally time to leave and luckily practice today got cancelled due to a broken pool heater. I grabbed Kate and Robin and yanked them to my car, with their curious mind they begin to wonder why I drag them away. When we finally get to my car, I explain to them what I am doing, "We're going to the cave, I have to know what is off with this town and this is the only thing close enough to figure it out." I expel out of my mouth with an expression of curiosity.

"Wait woah dude you serious about this? you don't know what you'll find in there!" Robin decided to express in a cowardly manor.

Just as Robin said that Kate decided to chime in. "Robin you are only saying that cause you know you're scared." with a confused look on Robin's face, Kate fully shows her smirk at him. On the way there I told them about why I decided to check it out today instead of any other day.

"I need to find out as soon as possible about why this cave is the only one that has a strong wind every time that someone passes by. Also why have a lot of the graduated seniors from previous years disappear from this place." I wanted them to know exactly what I felt about this place.

"Dude I really think you are just paranoid and have a wild imagination. That cave is just like any other cave in our town." Robin pointed out, making me annoyed. I stayed calm and just gave him a rebuttal glare.

"Look if you don't want to explore it you don't have too. This is just another silly old cave, isn't it? So, you shouldn't have anything to worry about, right?" I say with a sarcastic tone. Kate giggled a little from the back, but once she looked where we were she stopped. It was the entrance to the trail for the cave, I grab my hiking bag and all three of us head down the trail.

"Alright I'll be the first to say it, this is a nice little bonding adventure we have going here." Kate let out with excitement in her voice. It felt like she was geared up to explore the cave more than me. Just made me more eager to explore, until Robin pointed out to something in the distance. I look out and notice a Red BMW Convertible pull up right behind my car, and only one person owns that car that I would know. My ex-boyfriend wandered up to the entrance of the cave right up to where we are. Let me do a back track quick, Me and Ben dated for two years, and we only broke up because he went off to Canada for four months. Yeah, I know four months isn't long, but it was long to me, and I don't like distance. Once he walked up to us, he looked straight at me and gave his little head nod with an innocent yet vicious, "hey."

We all waited there for a moment before answering when Kate thankfully blurted out, "Oh my gosh ben its lovely to see you it's been a while, how was Canada." as she went in for a hug. Now I don't hate Ben in any way, I wish we stayed together because I think we are perfect for each other. Things are just a bit awkward right now and I just need a little time to assess myself and what is happening. It would be nice if he were to just leave though, I just don't have the heart to tell him to go. Kate glanced over toward me to see what I was feeling and the moment she saw me she said, "Hey Ben, were a little tied up right now and it's a trio thing sorry, but you got to go." I cocked my head up as she said that she is never nice to him yet she said that very peacefully. That's when Ben noticed me as well and nodded in agreement and walked away. I never would've thought he would be so understanding of me being upset, but he did.

"Yo, Alex are you okay? You can talk to us." Robin asked as Kate nodded over at me. I peeked my head up and smiled.

"Yeah, guys I'm fine, shall we?" As I mention over to the entrance of the cave. They looked at each other and back at me with a little nod. As the day turns to dawn, we step foot inside of the caves, little did we know that was where our lives have just started.
