A vampire ruled hierarchy, a world where vampires are the superiors.
Kings and queens, royalty who rule over the human livestock that ruined the planets surface. A plague who would hunt the 'demons' for sport, to hang up their heads as trophies above the fireplace. People who called them freaks and monsters, hypocrites.
Monsters they say, despite slaughtering pigs and cows in ways worse than they. Murderers they say, wouldn't you say a butcher is the same? Killers they say, didn't you kill what's on your plate?
Hypocritical, simple-minded, inferior walking blood bags. What you could call humanity. After centuries of being hunted and killed and slaughtered and tortured and slavery, the fanged creatures climbed to the top. Taking over governments, kingdoms and such.
No longer the hunted but, the hunters. Did they force humans into hiding? Forced to survive out in the wild being chased by their natural predator? Like animals?
No, they did something much more... civilised. Coexistence. Humans willingly offering up blood monthly at the least. Either in blood bags or straight from the vein. With this, humans can continue to live their lives as usual with an occasional blood donation. Refuse, and you'd be treated like the pigs and cows you eat.
What a cruel, cruel world. To the humans, at least. Constantly offering themselves up like some juice box at the 7-eleven around the corner. How could a simple, boring high-school girl ever live in such a cruel world? Well, wouldn't you like to find out?
