CLOUDS

YOU SAT OUTSIDE FOR LUNCH today because aran and Kita had to do something for the volleyball team.

Your back was against the tree as you munched on your leftover dinner for last night, which was just re-heated alfredo.

As you ate, you looked up at the sky, seeing all of the beautiful clouds and how they moved, slow enough a person walking wouldn't be able to tell if it was them or the clouds moving.

The blue of the sky and the white and grey of the clouds mixed, making a greyish-blue color that tinted the sky. a color that was often never seen.

"are you done staring at the sky?" a booming voice said from in front of you.

Dropping your chin, you saw aran in a squatting position in front of you with a broad smile on his face "hi aran" you said with a cheeky smile on your face "hi (Y/N)" aran told with an almost identical smile "can I sit next to you?" the boy asked, you nodded and hurried over, so he had room to sit down.

"do you like clouds?" you asked suddenly "um... I never really noticed the clouds" aran stated as he watched you look up at the sky.

he couldn't help but look at your side profile, the way your brownish-pink lips sat in a straight line, the way your eyelashes moved when you blinked, and the way your (E/C) eyes glowed in the sunlight.

You looked over to the side, noticing that aran had been staring at you "hey aran?" you asked, looking him in the eyes "yea?" the boy replied, looking directly at you "are we considered 'friends'?" you asked.

You didn't want to be rude and say you guys weren't friends.

Still, you also didn't want to say that you guys were friends when you didn't know what the answer was. "I mean, I say we're friends, so...yea we are" aran said, tilting his head to the side "ok then" you went back to eating your food, still while looking at the clouds.

"you must really like the clouds (Y/N)" aran chuckled beginning to look up to see what was so intriguing about the balls of cotton candy in the sky.

He saw how beautiful the clouds were, and he couldn't help but think they reminded him of you.

The clouds were quiet and only loud when spoken to, just like you.

Now aran loved the clouds..but did he love you? "do you have lunch?" you asked as you noticed the boy didn't have any food with him "ah no, I forgot to get some.

I kinda just came looking for you after practice" he confessed scratching the back of his neck "you can have this candy if you want.

"I don't have a taste for candy today" you said as you pulled out a small bag of skittles from your bag passing them to aran "you sure? I don't wanna take your lunch" aran said as he waited for your answer. he saw you nod.

He took the skittles bag out of your hand, putting a small tear in the bag before spilling some out into his hand.

You'd never admit it, but you felt happy with aran. Granted, you've only known each other for two days, but for some reason, it felt like you knew each other longer than that.
