I randomly got this idea while watching the hunger games again, there was another Technoblade story requested but I can't find the request.
(Art from WolfyTheWitch on Twitter)Your POV
Bullseye.
Is what I wish I could say.
Technoblade offered to train me after seeing how awful my techniques were. At first I really appreciated it, then the 'lessons' kind of turned into 'ordering'. But I let it go, I just figured he wanted me to survive a surprise attack or another upcoming war. Being known for his agility and powerful personality, he's one of the greatest fighters I know. He beat Dream, even if I haven't personally see his level of pvp, he's also famously known.
After I was with L'Manberg on top of the tower, shooting at the others, I barely got any hits. It wasn't my first time with a bow, but I never really got an training either. My experience with a bow was pretty small, so that's where Technoblade started me off first.
I was so excited to train with the Technoblade. Anyone who wants to be known for their fighting skills or pvp, dreams of being taught by him. And I got the opportunity to. So before he started the first lesson, at an unreasonably early time, I vowed to listen to his every command and never complain. He knows what he's doing, if he pushes me to do something.. I'm going to do it.
I stop reminiscing and focus back to the task at hand. I stare ahead at the arrow.. it's so far from the.. hm. I draw another arrow and line it up with the bow, fixing my stance and posture. I lift the string up to my ear, and close one eye. I aim to the best of my knowledge and fire another arrow. I watch it whizz(?) through the air and hit the target.
I didn't get much closer.
I try again, doing the whole process over again and shoot another arrow.
What am I doing wrong? I followed Technoblade's steps! I mean- to the best of my capability at least! I know I'm still training and I know I'm new to this but I just want to hit the fricken bullseye of the stupid target. Where the hell is why my teacher anyway? Does he actually trust me with a bow- nevermind that was stupid. We're kind of out in the open in a field so I literally can't hurt anyone. Except maybe a bunny passing by. They're too cute though, I would probably lower my bow and wait for them to pass before I shoot again.
"You've made some progress.."
Finally, I hear Technoblade's voice pop up behind me. I glance back and see him slowly walk up next to me, practically staring down the target with his eyes. Even when he's not doing anything, he looks so fierce. When I stare at something I look dumb and like I don't have a thought in my mind. I can't help but smile at the subtle compliment he gave me.
"It's not a lot, but still progress."
Well there goes my optimism. I go back to a straight face and stop staring at him. I grip into the bow tighter, and glance my jaw.
"I can show you my stance and you can tell me what I'm doing wrong, I think I'm getting better-" I loosen up and show him, aiming at the target again but I don't shoot this time. I look back at him, expecting a response, "what.. what am I doing wrong?"
He gives me the same blank face as always, not giving me much to work with. He could be the most disappointed mother I have ever seen as they watch their kid fail or the proudest as they watch their kid excel and I would have no clue. He doesn't show emotions very often, and when he does they're not very strong. He's all bricked up and walled off. He's a distant person.
"The arrow is too tilted and your elbow isn't where it should be."
Well, at least he's an honest distant person.
I look back at my stance and adjustice it a bit to match his description. I adjust the tilt of the arrow and bend my arm a bit more, hoping to please him enough. When I see his expression doesn't change, I have second thoughts and adjust it more.
"What are you doing? You just had it."
"You didn't look pleased so I assumed-"
"You assumed wrong. You're doubting yourself and your capabilities. If you expect to get everyone's approval, you'll never get anywhere."I guess he's my motivational speaker now. Or like a sensei, that sounds cooler. He is always known for his wise words and sayings.
"You deserve a break, hang the bow back up and run around or something. I don't know what kids do."
"You're not even 2 years older than me! And we haven't even done anything yet!"
"You're getting restless, blow off some steam and we'll try again. This time I'll be your 'sensei'."
"How did you-.."He gives me a slight smirk from the side and walks back into our little cabin we temporarily moved into for training. I watch him dumbfounded, having no clue how he read my mind. I didn't say it aloud, did I? Not that I recall- and I'm not restless! I shot three arrows and then decided to- okay so maybe I am. I was frustrated, he wasn't training me like he said he would. He just gave me a bow and set up a target then left me to my own devices. Kind of rude, if you think about it.
But I'm sure he has reasoning for it. He's the great Technoblade, he's almost as wise as Philza Minecraft. Who is another idol of mine. Does Technoblade know Philza Minecraft? They're both strong warriors, I wonder if they're friends, too. Should I ask? That might be personal information. Hm.
I'm going to ask.
"Technoblade! Wait, come back!" I shouted over the empty field as he slowly made his way back to the cabin. I almost cought up with him before he stopped and turned around. He looked at me with a blank face with only a slightly raised brow.
"I was just wondering.. have you ever.. met Philza Minecraft..?" I ask with caution, unsure of his past relations with anyone. I don't know much about him and what he would consider a sensitive topic to be. I could tell this one was by the look on his face. He looks disappointed, but still kept his stern facade.
"Perhaps I have, perhaps not. Neither is your business. Now go, occupy yourself until we start training again." And with that, he leaves and shuts the door behind him as he entered the cabin.
"Can I have some water though?"
---
"Alright, lift your bow."
I waste no time following his orders, lifting my bow and already aiming for the target once more.
"Now, do you see what you're doing incorrectly?"
I look back and notice I'm exactly how I was before, when he said I assumed I did something wrong. I still can't see it.
"No?"
"Look at your feet."---
"Ready."
I get ready.
"Aim."
I raise my bow and aim.
"Fire."
I let go of the string.
"Bullseye."
I stare in disbelief as I actually hit the very center of the bullseye. I drop my bow on the ground and sprint up to the target. I trace my finger around the arrow, still in shock I managed to get it right. I smile wide as it all sets in, making me jump in my feet.
"Techno I hit it! I actually hit it! My first time ever-"
"You did well, are you ready for another one?"
"Heck yeah."
