Chapter 1

"Sometimes it's hard to face your own life"

Nicole's pov
I was watching outside window thinking about how I've messed up everything In my life.

I lost everything thing my hope, my dream, even my life
My life becomes a nightmare every single day my thought, my feelings are nothing to anyone. Sometimes I wonder I never born and let me introduce you to my life

After I arrived from school no one was at the house I went to my room throw my bag and I laid down in my bed after a couple of hours my mom arrived from work

"Nicole are you home"

"Hey mom"

"Hey sweety can you get me a water I am thirsty"

I went to the kitchen I opened the fridge and pour water
"Here" I handed her on the way of my room

"Sweety can I have a word with you"

"About what mom"

"Well, I shouldn't tell you this now but-" I cut her off

"But what"

"I don't know how to tell you this "

"Mom stop beating around the bush what happened tell me"

"We're moving"

"What" I replied shocked " what do you mean

"Yes we're moving your dad transfer his job to another state"

"Why"

"It's because of his boss"

"what about my school, my friend"

"I know it's going to be hard for you but-"I cut her off

"There is no but why is everything is easy for you but for me, it's not going to be, you don't know what I am feeling inside, leaving everything is not easy mom I am not going anywhere"

I went to my room I lay in my bed thinking about moving I was staring picture of me and maggie's. Maggie is my best friend we've known each other since we were kids we always care about each other she is the reason I smile every day, she understands me more than anyone.

I heard my dad's voice and I went to talk to him

"Hey dad can I talk to you"

"About what"

"Mom told me we are moving and I am mad about it and when did you guys talk about this and why are we moving why don't you find another job it's simple"

"I already made an agreement and me and your mom talked about this''

" what do you mean you made an agreement what about everything I am not going anywhere "

"You're not the one who decide to move or to stay and we have no other choice"
My dad shouts at me my tears start swelling from my eyes and I turn my face to my mom she was silent. I went to my room and I cried for hours in my bed.

The next morning

"Nicole wake up you will be late for school"

"Mom, please" replied yawning

"Get up I know you're tired"

After I get dressed for school I went to the kitchen I ate my breakfast I went to school and went to my locker
And I saw Maggie

"Hey meg"

"Hey girl are you okay you look pale what happened"

"I will tell you later"

Hours later

It was our break we picked our food and we seat in our usual place

"So can you tell me now," Maggie asked

"Well um" I hesitate "meg I don't know how to tell you this I still can't believe"

"What happened you're worrying me"

"I am moving to another place" finally

"What" she was shocked

"Ya" replied with a sad smiley voice

"You know today is not April
fool's day right nik "

"Meg I wish it was " I felt my tears on my cheek

"Oh my are you serious " and Maggie start crying as well

"I know how you feel and it's not easy for me to new people, new place it's not easy to adopt everything" I replied

"We are best friends since we were kids and we're I am going to be lonely"

I can see the sadness from her eyes " look meg I know your sad I'm too no matter what you will always be my best friend."and meg wiped my tears and I did as well

After a long day at school I went to home no one was at the house my dad is at his work, my mom is a nurse so she is spending her night there I was bored while I was watching tv after a couple of hours I heard someone was knocking and I opened and it was my dad

"Hey dad why did you knock did you lost your keys"

"No I left it here in the morning when I went to work so at what time your mom will be here"

"She texted me she will spend the night at the hospital"

"Really" replied with amazed voice

"Ya why are you amazed"

"Well it's because I have a work too I came here to see you and I am going to spend the night at work as well"

"What what do you mean"

"It means I have lot of work to do so It's not my first time spending a night in my office working I Came here to see you and to get some papers for work"

I was on my way to ask if Maggie could spend the night with me since I am alone my mom always Spend the night at hospitals on weekend because my dad will be with me when she always spend the night at hospital.

And I heard him talking to the phone"i will come don't worry should I bring a wine"

"Dad" he panicked and hang up the phone
