Chapter 2: Awkward Greetings

Emma POV

I woke up and I had no idea where I was. It looked like I was in a dorm but it defiantly wasn't mine. I heard someone snoring and looked down and there was a man on the floor. I tried to get up without waking him up but it didn't work. As soon as I put a foot on the floor he woke up. I think he plays a sport but I'm not sure.

My brain is still foggy from last night. I don't even remember what happened exactly. I just remember dancing with Neal and then I blacked out. Oh god what if Neal did something.

"Hi I'm Killian! Neal drugged you last night and I got to you before he could do anything to you!" I looked at him and noticed his hand was black and blue.

"I think your hand might be broken. Let me look at it." I don't even know why I was doing this but I felt as if I owed him because he saved my virtue.

As I got a closer look it was broken. I asked if he had a bandage wrap and of course he did. Since I ride horses I know how to wrap bandages. The more I kept wrapping the more I kept hurting him.

"I'm sorry if I'm hurting you. But after this if it still hurts after a while I would go to the school nurse." Once I finished I thanked him for everything and left.

That was the most awkward thing I've ever had to do. But once I walked out of the room I realized I was in my own dorm. I just lived in the other half of the building. When I got to my room I realized that I didn't have my key. Of course the one night I forget it.

"KYLIE WAKE UP IT'S ME, EMMA!" She was probably sleeping but there is still a chance that she could be awake.

She came to the door and she was completely dressed. I totally forgot that she had a 9am class. As I walked in she left, she told me she would text me. The first thing I did when I got in the room was I got changed. I needed to get out of that dress.

I looked at my clock and saw it was 8:30. It was too early to get breakfast and I was in no mood to start homework so once I looked decent I left the room. I quickly went to the cafeteria and grabbed something quick. I decided that I should go to the barn. Get my first ride of the year in early, before everyone else.

I love the walk across campus to get to the barn. It's all trees and grass, it's peaceful. Except for today, the lacrosse team was practicing. They were acting like such idiots. But I saw the guy from earlier. As soon as I saw who he was I turned my head straight ahead and kept on walking.

When I got to the barn I walked over to my horses stall and he was so excited to see me. He was spotless like usual. The first thing I did was hug him because I haven't really seen him since school started a week ago. I've been so busy with classes starting I haven't had any time.

Since I felt like being a dare devil I rode him bareback, nothing on his back, and out on the campus. There was no campus rules about riding horses outside the riding school so we did it all the time.

I tried to avoid where the boys were practicing but of course I couldn't. There were only so many paths you can take for the school grounds and this was the only one I knew didn't have any construction or anything going on. But I tried to stay away from them in hopes they wouldn't notice.

I tried to stay near the tree line and sort of hide in it. Usually I wouldn't care but the fact that the guy plays on that team, I just want to stay away. I don't want it to seem like I am stalking him.

Of course as I was sitting there one of the guys must have over thrown the ball because it landed right near me. Out of the 30 guys on the team Killian has to be the closest to me and so he runs over towards me. I try to hide my face but it doesn't work well because he recognized me.

"Hey girl I saved."

"Hi" I awkward waved at him.

"I never got your name." I completely forgot to give it to him after wrapping his hand.

"It's Emma, Emma Swan." He waved back and his friends were calling him back.

"We should hang out sometime Emma." I nodded my head and he saw I was on my phone so I handed him my phone because I didn't know what else to do. When I got it back he had already texted himself and his name was Killian <3.
