Chapter 12: Waking Up

Emma POV

I woke up and my head started banging. It was like my head had exploded and there was nothing I could do. I tried to open my eyes but the more I tried to open them the more they started to hurt. I finally got them open and when I went to go talk i started to choke. I panicked. 

I started freaking out and finally a nurse came in and helped me. She took the tube out of my mouth and I could finally breathe on my own. I couldn't really see without having a terrible headache but I took a quick glance and I was alone in my room. 

"Where is everyone?" I asked the nurse. She looked at her clip board then back at me.

"They left for the day. We weren't sure when you were going to wake up so we sent them home." How long have I been out? 

"You have been here for 4 days now." 4 days? "You were in a car accident, and a pretty bad one from the looks of it."

"What are my injuries? I feel like I hurt all over" She had to look at my chart, as if she didn't already know.

"You have a severe concussion, 2 small breaks on your femur and fibula. You also have severe bone bruising down your entire leg and you dislocated your shoulder in the crash, but it should heal in a few days. You also bruised a few ribs, which can be extremely painful." Damn is that all? All I want is Killian and my parents.

"If you're looking for your friends and family they should be back shortly. They usually come around 2-3 times a day." I nodded as much as I could but even moving my neck is killing me. I told the nurse about the pain and she increased my pain meds. 

I closed my eyes and I must of fallen asleep because when I finally gained consciousness again someone was holding my hand. Another thing I noticed was that the room was dimmer. I opened my eyes and I saw Killian sitting there. I was hoping the rest of my family was there but alas it was only Killian. 

When Killian saw that my eyes were open he got so excited. I smiled  and he came up and hugged me. The tighter he hugged me the worse the pain got, but I craved Killian's touch so much i tried to ignore the pain. But Killian could sense something was wrong and he stopped. I didn't want him to, in fact i craved it so much i couldn't wait to be home alone with him. Even though i was only out for 4 days, it felt like a century. 

"I'm so glad you're alive Emma. I've been worried sick, thinking the worst. Your family has also been worried. They should be here soon. Henry texted me." I nodded my head and motioned for him to come lay down next to me.
