He approached his mother nervously that night.

"Hey mom?"

"Yes Izuku?"

"I was wondering if you could help me with something?"

"Of course sweetie! What is it?"

"I wondering if you could help me make a castella cake? I wanted to give it to a friend of mine. He did something nice for me so I wanted to return the favor." He said, fiddling with his fingers.

His mom started to ramble.

"Oh sweetie! I'm so happy that you made a friend! Of course we can make one! Who is he? Can he come over some time? Is he a nice boy? What's hi-"

"Woah woah woah mom! I uh, don't want to scare him off. We've only know each other for a couple months at maximum." He said with a sweat drop.

"Oh I'm sorry sweetie! It's just that I'm so glad that you've made a friend! Speaking of friends, how is Katsuki-chan? It's been ages since he last came over to hang out. It's been a while since I last saw Mitsuki-chan too. Maybe we could invite them over some time since I have a couple days off next week?"

He felt his stomach drop at the mentioning of the Bakugou family. He did not want to be around Kacchan. But, if it made his mother happy, he would do it. She had been working very hard since the landlords decided to up the rent. Apparently, their child was sick and they need to get more money in order to pay for the treatment.

"Alright!" He said, cheerfully while dying internally.

"Thank you sweetie! Now let's go make those cakes!"

If there was one thing that Inko loved to do, it would be baking. The woman was practically a baking deity.

★☆★The next day at school★☆★

He glanced around the library the next day, searching for the man until he spotted a head of lavender hair.

"Hello Bushida-san!"

"Hi Midoriya-kun."

"I-I uh, baked something with my mom as a Thank you for the meal yesterday." He said, sheepishly.

"It's no problem son! You don't owe me anything. I was just being a decent human being."

"W-well, those are hard to come by these days, so here."

He sighed. "Isn't that the truth. Anyways, you won't take no for answer will you?"

The emerald boy shook his head.

"Alright, thank you." he said, taking the box.

They both sat down and ate lunch. The older male popped open the box and tried a piece.

"This is fantastic son! Great job!" He said, ruffling the boys hair.

The emerald boy froze for a moment before slowly relaxing at the older male's touch. Maybe... this would be ok. He was safe. They weren't here. Maybe it'd be ok for people to do this from time to time.

"You good there son? You seem lost in thought."

He snapped out of it.

"Y-yeah! Sorry, I'm just glad that you like the cake!" He replied with a bright smile.

They both chatted together and enjoyed the cake until the end of lunch.

It soon became a weekly routine for them.  They would sit together during lunch and once a week, The emerald boy would bake something for them and the lavender haired man would bring him a bento.

Sometimes Yuki would join them too. He couldn't help but observe that whenever she was around, the older male seemed quieter and more hesitant. There was something going on here but, he wasn't quite certain what.

He was on patrol. When he said that he wished he was warmer since he was making his rounds in early December, this was not what he meant!

He hated the media.

Because of said media, he had been thrust into the spotlight and a practically had a target painted on his back. The news clip of him slamming a bucket on Endeavor's had taken the world by storm. He was officially viral. Even people in other countries were talking about it! Don't even get him started on the memes.

And do you know who decided that they could use some target practice? The #2 hero of course! Guess he's still pissed about the pink hair

And do you know who decided that they could use some target practice? The #2 hero of course! Guess he's still pissed about the pink hair.

So here he was, running away from the said flaming man.

Let's just pray that he doesn't get barbecued.

Hey guys! I'm sorry that the chapters are taking longer expected! It's just that I'm trying to juggle my family issues, my company, university, finances, and this book all at once so I'm a bit swamped.

Also, the website is almost done. Do you guys wanna buy hoodies, T-shirts, or keychains for this fanfic? (Please say yes. The university I want to go to is expensive so I could use the help)
