"Thank you all for coming" Father Kieran began as Selena was sitting between Klaus and Marcel slightly bored and annoyed
"Like I did have a choice" she mumbled looking at Klaus who shrugged
"It means more than I can tell you. We gather today for the first public service of our re-opened church, once again be the heart of our community. Where we can congregate as a people united. Here, this hours we come together to praise God and give thanks. The events that took place at our church were tragic" Father Kieran continued earning a huff from Marcel and an eye roll from Selena
"This is a nightmare" Selena muttered quietly causing Marcel to chuckle as he looked behind him and looked at something that troubled him
"Problem?" Klaus asked the two with a raised eyebrow
"No" Marcel denied and then Klaus looked at Selena who shrugged
"Yeah. I don't want to be here" she stated and he scoffed
"Then pay attention we're meant to seem like devoted parishioners" Klaus mocked and Selena giggled in amusement. He held her hand as he refused to let her out of his sight after this past couple of days
"And it is that hope in our hearts and with the helpof many benefactors that allow us to be here today. So we gather with renewed spirits made stronger committed to the ideals of peace and love. Amen" The priest finished and Selena stood up happily
"Thank God-" Selena began and Klaus quickly placed a hand on her forearm pulling her back to her seat
"I mean... Amen" she muttered and he glared at her in disbelief and Marcel looked down laughing quietly
"That was embarrassing" she whispered causing Klaus to chuckle
"Amen" Everyone said and they walked out out of the church. Father Kieran stood in the front of it greeting everyone as they passed by
