She's a drink of moonlight water
From the gleaming moon river
With eyes of argent grey,
Withholding the energy of the howling moon.
In the old dusk with tear drops of silver
She is a daughter of the night
And I,
I am the sun.

I am the sun
with eyes of honey gold
With dry fingers and swift feet,
Who turns to the sky
to sing the nightingale's tune
That I hope may reach
That lovely daughter of the deep night,
That it may make her swoon.

I am the sun who has fallen in love with the moon,
A golden bright merry wanderer of the day,
Infatuated with the haunting enchantress whose beauty is one for the constellations.

The goddess Nyx is her creator
Of nightfall and gloom,
Where her rivers run dark in the abyss of cold death.
While my creator is Apollo, a god of light and eternal youth
With a voice like the airy whispers of angels singing in the young dawn with fingertips of rose.
Too a gift, given to me
That I sing to the constellations for Shame,
How I could love the darkness so much when the light is my claim.

Will wonders never cease
When my muse of the night saunters the velvet night,
And prays to the moon for fine dreams,
With the voice of a thousand angels singing a symphony?

My muse,
My lovely daughter of the night,
When death brings me to your glory in the underworld
Maybe you'll see me the way I've always seen you:

A princess of the midnight sky whose untold beauty reaches stars and galaxies unknown,
And doesn't know how to love anyone but the comforting loneliness of the earth's rest.

And still,
I am the sun who loves the moon,
The stars, (muse, I am the biggest star of all yet you don't see how I burn for you)
The eventide,
The crashing waves of the Black Sea,
And everything that comes with.

Daughter of night,
Show me your world,
And I'll bring you its light.

Author's Note -
Hi everyone, I know I've been a bit inactive but that is because I currently am entering exam season which you can imagine is stressful as well as personal stuff; with that being said, I took my time with this one because I really wanted to put something good for you guys, which (hopefully) I did.

Note that I:
1. Wrote this in the perspective of the sun because gods like Apollo (god of the sun) is associated with things like poetry, and this is obviously a poem about love and longing
11. Purposely did not give the sun a "gender" like I did for the night because I really wanted it to be left to the reader's interpretation. So however you interpret this, is perfect.
111. Settled for some stars instead of a photo alluring to the poem itself because in all honesty, I couldn't find any that suited.

With that being said, ad astra per aspera, good luck, and with all my love, see you soon.
