GUILT

A good night's sleep was the only thing they had that drove their thoughts away from all the stressful situations. Unfortunately for them, the king wasn't going to let them have it tonight.

As Wilbur, Quackity, Skeppy, and Punz slumbered, Fundy woke up to the king's shouts. Jolting himself up and awake, he immediately patted Wilbur and the others' shoulders. "Guys, the king,"

The five of them slept together in one room with three double decked beds, leaving one bed space empty considering there were only five of them. It was good enough for them, to say the least.

Wilbur let out a heavy groan before getting up along with the others. He fixed his beanie and trailed behind Fundy who was now going to check out what the king wanted. Quackity, Skeppy, and Punz followed from behind, annoyed for being woken up. If Eret wasn't their king, they would've cursed him for waking them up.

Fundy was the first to meet up with the king, followed by Wilbur and the others. Their eyes widened at the sight of George's once again unconscious body in Eret's arms. "Wilbur, take him to my secret room. I'm not going to let him slip away this time. I know for sure that Dream is on his way, so, Fundy, keep an eye out. Punz, Skeppy, and Quackity, go with Fundy,"

The five exchanged glances. They were hesitant to follow. Something inside them felt guilty for George, but they had no choice but to follow the king's orders. "Now!" Eret yelled, making Wilbur swiftly take George from Eret's arms and jogging to the secret room where no one can find him, unless, of course, someone would point out where it is.

The rest of them hurried and went outside to keep watch. Punz quickly grabbed their gear and followed from behind.

"The king couldn't wait until morning for this," Quackity complained.

"Technically, it kinda is morning. It's like four am or something," Skeppy trailed off when Quackity shot him an annoyed look.

"I still don't understand why the king can't let go of that George guy. Yeah, he burned down a restaurant but we've dealt with other naturals that has done worse," Fundy said.

"Let's just get this over with," Punz added.

They were all sitting on their beds in the vault, discussing about the new situation in their hands. Most of them had their knees close to their chest with their arms engulfing their legs. Techno was woken up by Phil who now joined them in the vault. Both of them shared and sat in George's empty bed.

"And Dream just ran off after him?" Purpled joined, and Sapnap nodded while Karl had his head on Sapnap's shoulders. It was pretty obvious what kind of relationship the two had. Everyone decided to not question it as the answer was right in front of them.

"What a simp," Tommy said, receiving a glare from Phil who had his arms crossed. "Sorry," he immediately apologized.

"What are we gonna do?" Niki asked.

"Well, we obviously can't just let Dream go alone. We have to go after him," Tubbo suggested.

"Surely, they'll be expecting us after the stunt Techno, Phil, Sam, and Dream pulled last time," Tommy added.

"Tommy has a point," Techno spoke up, his voice so powerful that all of their gazes turned to him. "It's a risk for all of us to get caught,"

"But-" Techno cut off Sapnap.

"If what you say about the book and gem being in Eret's hands is true then that only increases the risk for all of us getting in trouble. Dream cares a lot about George. We just have to trust that they both can make it out of this one. Going after them is a suicide mission considering that they might expect us. One dart for the each of us is all it takes and everything goes downhill from there. Unless you all want to risk that then you guys can be my guest," and with that, Techno got up and climbed back up the ladder. His voice made everyone silent as they watched Phil follow Techno from behind, both of them stopping when Sam spoke up.
