Ada Shelby had always been a stubborn woman especially when her brothers interfered on personal matters. But now she had a baby and a husband sitting in a jail cell. Polly and Olivia were more than concerned for her well-being since she had locked herself up in that hole of a basement she was living in with Freddie. Both took turns trying to coax her out the door or even just to say something to them. They were only met with silence and rotten baskets by the door.
That morning Olivia had gone to the door with a basket in hand but once again she spotted the basket Polly dropped off before. She called out to her sister-in-law but could only hear the baby's babbles. She expressed her concerns hoping Ada would open up but didn't. With a sigh, she replaced the baskets before leaving.
Olivia had gone back to the Shelby household to update Polly on Ada's well-being. She hoped that the two would be able find a solution to help the two. In Ada's current state, she might have trouble looking after the baby. But upon entering she noticed the person also standing in the room.
Since the birth and Freddie's arrest, Olivia hadn't really talked to Tommy. She still had the belief that he was responsible for the whole ordeal along with Grace but she couldn't prove it just yet. The blonde made her way through the room before placing the basket on the counter.
"Did you speak to her?" Tommy asked aloud hoping to receive an answer. None of the woman in the family were very welcoming and open to him.
"She didn't speak back." Liv answered shortly not wanting to prolong the conversation.
"Well, did you tell her?" He questioned wanting to get his truth known.
"I'll only tell her what I know to be true." Liv replied not believing that the man in front of her had nothing to do with the arrest. Tommy would do just about anything to ensure their company would see more gains than losses.
Tommy let out a sigh of frustration at her comment. Despite how many times he repeated himself, none of the Shelby woman seemed to listen to him. All of them were untrusting to his intentions.
"It's the last time I'm going to say this. It wasn't me who shopped Freddie Thorne." He stated for both woman to hear him.
Polly decided then to butt into the conversation. Her doubts were still as strong as Olivia's. "Tommy. I'd ask you to swear on the Bible, but you can't swear on that can you?"
"No, he can't." Liv spoke before he got a chance. "There is nothing Thomas Shelby holds sacred anymore."
With that final word both woman left the man to take in their words. Tommy stood there a moment taking in his reality. Just when he was beginning to repair his relationship with Olivia, this put it in a setback. Despite most of his family not believing he turned Freddie in, Sara seemed to be the only one who hadn't iced him out. The young girl too caught up in trying to build on their relationship to see his faults. And Liv had know how much it hurt the girl to try to see Tommy as her father, she could only hope that this newfound relationship caused no harm to her child.
