The "normal" childhood of a quirk-less child, that's how Izuku, his mother Inko, or his "childhood friend" Bakugo would put it.
The green haired boy was eager to be a hero since he was young. He was looking up to all might like he is some sort of god and being the cutest innocent little kid you could know.
Once he was 5 he pleaded to his mother to take him to the doctor to see what his quirk is. Being the lovely mother Inko is she took little Izuku to the doctor just as he asked. What was supposed to be the best day every may have changed his life for the worst.
It wasn't one heart that shattered the day the doctor said he was quirk-less it was two.
Feeling sorry, sad, and upset for his son she went to go check up on him. He was still watching his favorite video of all might saving people with tears in his eyes. He asked her if he could still be a hero like all might; but Inko said nothing about the question he had just asked. All that she could say is "I'm sorry Izuku" while crying her eyes out. Although she didn't know at the time but that would be one of the things that made him the way he was in middle school.
