"Are you going to tell us where this Leftout place is? Or are you going to keep it a secret forever?" I question Caine, shooting him a questioning glare. Caine stops at an intersection and gives me a short look before turning right.
"It's somewhere in the abandoned suburbs. Not a lot of people come there as the place may seem a little bit scary. However, a lot of teenagers hang out at the leftout. It's mostly crowded on Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays." He says, shooting me a short gaze again before focusing on the road again.
We're on our way to this place they talked about. Caine was so kind to pick me up from work and drive me to this place. I had to work an extra shift because Aivy had an important meeting at school with one of her teachers.
I was free the whole afternoon and agreed to do her shift. She said she owes me one, but I didn't mind working. I love spending my free time in the cafe, and I love my job.
I'm wearing a pair of dark grey skinny jeans, a dark green sweater, and a pair of high black-colored platform converse. I'm wearing the same outfit as I did at school because I had no time to change into something else.
"So you're practically bringing me to a scary abandoned place, where no one has lived for ages? Sounds pretty ominous if you ask me." I say as I look at the passing houses outside. Caine chuckles softly before answering.
"If you put it like that, it sounds like I'm kidnapping you right now. Don't worry. I'm not planning to kidnap the girl who keeps amusing me. I'm trying to get to know her better." He says, shooting me a genuine smile before turning left.
"Well, I'm glad to hear I'm not going to be stuck in the basement of an abandoned hotel, screaming for someone to save me from my dangerous kidnapper," I say, shrugging my shoulders as I play with the sleeve of my sweater. I can feel my cheeks heat up at his compliment.
"You are giving me the idea you secretly want to get kidnapped by an utterly handsome and attractive boy. Are you secretly turned on by being kidnapped?" He says as he turns the volume of the radio lower.
"I don't think I'm the kind of person to get the Stockholm syndrome, Caine. Besides, I will be too focused on escaping the place to chat with my kidnapper." I say, furrowing my eyebrows as I think about what I'd do if I were kidnapped.
Caine chuckles softly at my response before parking his car on the side of the road. I look around quickly, confused why he suddenly stopped driving and pulled over. Caine grabs his phone and starts texting someone as he gets out of the car.
"Why did we stop driving? We aren't there yet, right?" I say, getting out of the car as I shoot Caine a confused look. I put my hair in a high ponytail as I wait for Caine's reply. Caine puts his phone back in the pocket of his jeans after he finishes texting.
"We're here. Don't you notice all the cars are parked on the side of the road? There's no parking place at the Leftout. Everyone parks their cars on the side of the road. Now, it's just a five-minute walk to the party." Caine explains, and I nod quietly.
To be honest, I didn't notice there were more cars parked on the side of the road. I notice a couple of grey, black, white, and red ones. I can hear some soft music coming from afar as we walk towards it.
Once we get there, I smile softly at what I see. People are cheering and yelling on the side of another abandoned road as two cars race towards the end and back. I notice people talking and dancing behind them. They're playing some famous pop songs right now, and I recognize some of them.
The vibe is relaxed and happy, making me smile. It's the perfect place to hang out with a lot of people, but only for the summer. It'll probably be too cold in the winter for people to come to this place.
